And in Tove comes with a glass of ice and water for Sylvi, "Here you go"

"Oh." And Adam just got a BIG WINDOW into Sam.

"Thanks, Tove." She takes the water and sips.

A blink at Dagmar as she reveals something that's normally kept more private.

"Um...so...anyway...." A brightening smile. "Yeah, that's kind of how it works. Just, y'know, curious."

And NOW she's purple.

"Um. I need to feed Odin..."

Escape!

Adam watches her go. Then he looks at Sylvi and Tove.

Tove watches her go upstairs.

Sylvi watches Dagmar retreat, and sort of steps into her wake to distract Adam. "So, I guess you've had a couple of weird days."

"Uh... yeah. Yeah, you could say that."

She moves to his other side and takes a seat on a kitchen stool. If he follows her, his back should be to the stairs. "What have you seen, besides us?"

Oh, he does. "There was a giant crab. That started it. And I've seen some stuff driving around; a dodo and a mastodon having tea, I think. And, uh, at night. Some stuff. Saw some of that but heard more of it."

"Oh...yeah, I guess the sounds would be hard to block out, wouldn't they?"

"Yeah." More subdued than she's seen him.

"oh ..mmm yes. Some of the birds around here are always chiming in"

"Maybe...Tove, would there be something he could use to block that out? Or does he just have to get used to it?"

"Block, no... but... " She ponders, "I might have something. Pardon, be right back"

Sylvi watches Tove go, then looks back at Adam....then looks away and sips her water.

"I don't think all of what I heard was birds."

She looks at him again. "No?"

"No."

"So...what else, then? What did it sound like?"

He thinks about it. "Gross. Wet, sometimes. Slurpy? This high-pitched kind of fast noise?"

She blinks. "This was a sound from outside? Or in your room?"

"Both, sometimes."

Sylvi blows out her breath thoughtfully. After a moment she says, "Somebody should check out your room. Somebody fae."

She seems serious, not a flirty expression.

"Siv visited."

A blink. "She did?"

"Yeah." Nonchalantly.

"Your room?"

"Yeah." Breezy.

A momentary stare...then a bit of a shrug. "Well, okay, but I mean somebody to check out that noise. Make sure it's nothing to worry about."

"Well, if you think it's a good idea.... Who?"

"Well...who have you met, so far?"

And down she comes "I'm sorry, Adam. I have something of a white noise maker but I don't know where it is stored"

"The Chief, and Mr. and Mrs. King and Sam, and Siv, and.... oh, that's ok Mrs. King. THank you for thinking of it."

"... oh, that jerk Dirk."

"If I find it I'l try have it brought over"

"Oh, Symon."

"Thanks!"

Sylvi notes something in Tove's expression, but just nods at Adam's reply. "So I think either Dirk or Symon would be good. Dirk would scare the thing off, if there is anything...and Symon might be able to reason with it."

"-Reason- with it?"

Sylvi shrugs. "Maybe?"

"Some Chimera are like snow, the white monkey? "

"Either way... I think they're your guys."

"Dirk -isn't- my guy." Firmly.

"No?" She sips her water.
