"Wait, so it had Glamour 'cause Sally Mae fixed it up like poetry, or because I said it, or... how come?"

"Because Oaths are magic, and they have power."

"Like... like when Jaymes adopted me, it became real."

"Two Dr. Peppers" Tove goes into the kitchen

He brightens. "You're adopted?"

She nods.

"My dad adopted me. I told you that already, right?"

"You did. So, yeah - Jaymes adopted me, and Tove married Jaymes, so I have a whole family now."

"And with the Oath, it's not just paper, right? It's magic, so it's real."

"That's really cool." Tender and sincere.

"Yeah." Purple. "I'm really lucky."

Adam nods. "I was too young when dad and mom got together, but I think I lucked out too."

Tove comes back with two ice cold cans "Here we go. No glamour in this one, Adam" A smile.

"Yeah, we can't get him Dreamstruck."

A knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Tove , having dropped off the cans, goes to the door and opens it.

He takes it with a nod, looks back at Sam, then back to Tove "Wait, was there, uh, Glamour in the milk???"

Sylvi is there with a smile. "Hey, Tove. I could use your help with some YouTube stuff. Gotta sec?"

"I really need to know if we can just tell you what you are so you can remember..."

"I don't like this... fuzzy-ness."

"Sure come in," She says with a smile

"Cool! Thanks. I've done up a bunch of videos, but I haven't started posting them, and you really know how to do things like get subscribers and stuff, and....Oh, hey, Dagmar. Hi, Adam."

"You told me I was Sidhe kinain. I have, like, the blood but I'm not magical enough to... oh. Hey Sylvia." Chin-thrust.

She gives him a bit of double-take, this being the first time she's seen him without hat and sunglasses.

"Oh that? Well sure" she smiles "I know a little , enough so you can skip some of the mistakes I did"

A cocky grin.

She seems a bit puzzled.

"Right..." her jaw sets to the side and the crease is back between her brows.

Then a belated response to Tove: "Uh...yeah...yeah, that's what I was hoping." Attention divided...a quick smile to Tove, but another puzzled look at Adam.

A BIGGER Cocky Grin.

That gets a frown. "Wait..." She looks to Dagmar. "Which of his parents are fae again?"

Tove chuckles "Can I get you a drink, Sylvi?"

"I'm sittin' right here." He points out.

"Probably his bio-dad, not his dad-dad."

"Just water, please, Tove, thanks." Preoccupied, and she only glances at Adam as he speaks.

"Right?"

"Wait, you think my -bio-dad- was Fae?!?!?"

"Yeahhhh...." She looks at Adam. "And you're from around here?"

Tove vanishes into the kitchen.

"Hey." Now that he's got her attention. Then he answers her question. "Mostly. I mean, I was born in New York but we moved pretty early to New Jersey, and now here in New Jersey."

"Well, you said your Mom was pretty normal." Shrugs.

"She is."

"And everybody is saying you have strong blood, so that means a parent, maybe a sibling."

"So, wait, it's like... genetics? If one parent is a fairie then you get a kinain but if both are you get a fairie?"

"Well... not exactly. Like... two fae parents, you have a good chance of getting one... but not always?"

"And then you get, like, faeries out of nowhere, too. I don't know who my bio-dad was, but Jennifer sure wasn't fae."

Sylvi's just watching him as the two of them talk. She frowning like she's trying to figure out a puzzle.

"So 'cause I don't know anything about my biological father, there's an X-Factor."

"Yeah."

She nods. "Exactly. For all I know, Junkie Jenny got knocked up by a troll."
