Geez, her dad (Who has little family resemblance beyond height and stoicism) is huge

"Uh."

"Dad" is downright Nordic, a burly blonde viking. Sam is sturdy and tall, but also very clearly mixed. "I do okay. Not the best on the team, but hoping to start this year."

"Dad, this is Adam. He plays basketball, too."

"mmm" Mr. King nods, "Hello."

Why dad is being positively verbose

"Hello, sir." Adam offers a hand.

The large hand takes the boys. Firm but perhaps a touch less so than his daughter's. Still, it's obvious the man's got muscle, "Boys team could use some help catching up with the girls" He nods.

(Dagmar realizes he's bragging on her and the other girls)

A bit of pink on her part. "Da-ad."

A cocky grin. "No problem, sir."

"Mmmph" He nods. Hands released. Then a shrug to his daughter.

("But it's true" mild protest)

"Well." Shrug, scuff.

"Maybe some time we can go one on one?" He offers Sam.

A wolfish grin. "Totally."

"I got a hoop at home."

"First thing I did at the new place was get my hoop up." Adam approves.

Jaymes raises a brow at something. But says nothing.

"Hey, can I get your number? We can figure it out?"

"Um..." Deer in headlights.

After an awkward pause, "Or, uh, I could give you mine?"

"I'm on messenger... it's Sam King."

"King. Cool. Ok, I'll sli.... message you." A friendly grin.

She chews nervously on a hangnail and nods. "Cool. I.. I have a dumb phone, you know? For emergencies only. But I have a laptop, too."

"Yeah? Ok, cool. I'll message later when I'm off work."

A glance at Jaymes, brief, but she nods. "Okay, cool."

"mm school prep " A simple warning note from Jaymes.

("Don't forget you've got school to get ready for, less than a week now")

"Mmph."

Sniff brow

(If this becomes a problem/distraction dot dot dot...)

He sighs, utterly missing the subtext. "Yeah. School." Regret.

"Yeah. School. But basketball!"

"Yeah, ok." He agrees with a grin. "Maybe more!"

She rubs the back of her neck as she shrugs again, grins and nods.

(Ready to go)

There's a sparkle in the boy's eye as he regards Sam.

James now puts a skull pressing gaze on 'the boy' .

Mr. Greely calls out, "Adam, need this floor swept behind the counter"

"Okay. Um... later."

"Later, Sam!" He heads over to sweep.

James' brow knits. Then "Got what you want?" Meaning the mouth piece and anything else she's gathered?

She nods and holds it up. "Blue."

Nod of approval. And they make their way to the counter.

If Greely is not there, Adam rings them up.

Oh Greely is there. But he lets Adam ring them up to get the practice

He jands the bag ober with a smile. "See you later, Sam. Uh. Mr. King." He nods.
