Tanya is waiting outside with that look of forbearance

"No problem." He leads them to the mid-range, used car, and unlocks the doors. He will get Tanya's if Zane doesn't.

"Huh. " Tanya observes, as both boys st art to reach for the door, "See, Zane. Some guys offer without training."

"Funny" Zane says with a smile, "Let's just be glad for the ride. " And he gets into his side after she's seated. "Nice car, man"

"Thanks." Adam gets in. "Where to?"

"Best to stop off Tanya first. if it's cool" he names her address.

"This is nice of you, Adam," Tanya says

A grin as he starts driving. "Welcome. Zane, you know if that guy is hiring?"

"Oh man no... that guy's so cheap you'd end up 'interning' retail if he offered at all." Zane says "you're looking for a part time?"

"Damn. Yeah." With a sigh. "For the school year."

"huh." He ponders "You want to work retail period or just video game stuff?"

An easy shrug. "I'm not really into the video games but the shop looked interesting. I guess retail."

"There's a sporing goods store that's hiring. You end up blowing up basketballs, aligning light bags and stuff. " Zane says

"That wouldn't be too bad. Thanks for the tip."

"You said the school had a good basketball team?"

"Well...yeah.. the girls are better than the guys but they had a solid good year." He says

Tanya raises a brow "We can alweays use more boys on the cheer squad"

Another quick grin. "I play. But thanks for the offer." A bit cocky.

"mm" she says "As you like. Zane, are you going to try for the cheer squad or theatre this year?"

"Ah.. .not sure. You okay with me grabbing other girls?" Zane grins too.

Tanya sighs "Not like I Expect you to be a saint given..well..."

"yeah" Zane says more seriously and gives Adam an odd side eye.

Adam's just driving.....

And soon they stop by the mailbox that says 'Brown' on it. "Thanks again, Adam. Welcome to Bergen."

Zane lets her out, then gives her a kiss, "See you later?"

"Most likely," she says, "Try to stay out of trouble"

"Welcome." An easy smile. No pressure.

"No promises" Zane smiles, then slips into the car again.

Tanya walks off. And moves with such grace it's scary.

"Go ahead and watch her leave, you wouldn't be human otherwise" Zane says quite seriously, "I am a lucky bastard."

Adam tears his eyes off her. After an awkward moment he says. "You guys are together? Sorry man, that wasn't cool. I just moved here, not looking to make trouble, you know?"

"Hey ,she's her own woman you know? I come from a.. ah.. socially progressive background. "

"Though honestly, lots of attractive girls at the school. That's the best part" he admits

"Yeah?" A like-minded grin at that piece of news. "So the school doesn't suck that much, huh?"

"Only thing that sucks is some of the ARE taken" He says "Sylvi? Megababe herself... dates some out of towner named Colton, and Colton may have a prostehtic arm? But he's HUGE. Could probably benchpress with that one arm. But there are others... hell man, now that it's just us I can give you a run down."

"Hey, that's cool of you." Adam honestly appreciates it. "I don't want to step in anything, you know? What's the low down?"

"Syvli, what's she look like?"

He describes Sylvi "Cheerleader on the same squad. She's tall, which for some guys is a plus, others not so much. We got a lot of amazons around here. " he describes Sylvi in admiring detail. "She's also just a cool person" he adds

And soon he gets a run down on some others too.. Mae, Eden, Gonzalez, Emma B. Emma Q (Emma Q is much hotter), Siv... and THAT descrption..hey he knows her.

"Hey, that... Siv?" Strange name.... "... she have a dog?"

"Well, her family does, yeah...two of them. You met her?"

"I think so."

"She's not as pretty as Tanya or Sylvi, but she ain't far down. She used to flirt more but ah well..."

"But what?"

"She's been a bit more serious and less flirty since her boyfriend had to move back to Ireland."

"Ouch." A blink. "Damn."
