Then as an aside "I can't believe Bix is gay. I mean, Ican believe it, but boy did I get caught off guard"

"Me too." She shrugs, and that furrow again.

"I mean, you don't think it's weird I don't wanna... you know? Date?"

"I'm not... ain't like I've never done it. I have."

"You have?"

Her jaw juts and she shrugs. "Yeah."

"You don't have to tell me anything, but this date happen..voluntarily?"

She shrugs. "I let him."

"Not always the same. Did you ask him to stop? did you say no" She says

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"Then we don't but I will tell you this... if someone hurt you or wahtever, under the guise of a date? It sure as hell is not weird to not want to risk that again. Sounds sane to me. I think one day you will date, when you'r ready and when you find a fellow or lady you can trust... but weird that you don't want to ? no. HEck, it might never be something you want to... rare, but rare things aren't weird. They're often the most precious stones in a world full of rocks."
