Dagmar has morning patrol, why? because Siv went to some dance and stay over. Dagmar had agreed to it, before she learned she had to be up at 6 in the morning.

During Summer

It ain't right!

NOBODY needs to patrol at 6 am...

Yet here she is. Yawn.

The good news is, Miss McGillicudy is asleep

She does see Mrs . Wayburton, Kinain to satyrs, Zane's mom, and one of the local MILFS (Debates among the lad, when eaves dropped upon, show a strong split along Kerri/Mrs. Wayburton lines...though Tove now complicates things) jogging, "Hey, Good morning" bright and chipper

"Morning Mrs. W!"

"Got patrol?"

"Yeah. Living the dream!"

"You live it large, Girl" A fistpump as she jogs by. Mrs. W had considered adopting Sam once. But came on too strong and well... but now that Dagmar's found her niche, while she doesn';t want her as a mom, Mrs. W has proven to be pretty cool as neighbor. Dagmar knows that if she ever gets thirsty, cold gatorade awaits.

"Sure thing?" A wry grin and a tiny fist-pump in return.

The rest of the patrol turns out to be somewhat sedate, the only other kithain out here that she sees are Bix DeBuke and a nocker working over what appears to be a stalled car.

They've got the hood open and are chatting up a storm

"We could relace the latice..." Bix says "Get your baby going far enough to stop somewhere else instead of the side of the street."

"Ah furk, who do I know around here?" The nocker gripes . He's about Bix's age "I mean, Lucked out meeting you."

Dag drifts over, curious. "Hey..."

'Oh, Hey, Dagmar" Bix says "This is Francis. His car gave up the ghost and we're trying to summon it back."

"Call me Fran if you furking like. " The nocker is good looking for one his kith, but he is focused on the car and Bix right now "Yeah... had to cuss at it for the last mile."

"Dagmar she's a thane and knight of Rivervale." Bix says to complete the introductions. "Kind of the youngest heavy hitter they got"

"Well, between Bix and Olgar, maybe... oh, Frank's good with engines, too..."

"Yeah? Who are they?" Fran asks

"Franks a Mountain, shaman of the lodge... my mentor" Bix says proudly, "But we got this I bet. Olgar is a Rover... don't think he can help with the engine like Frank might. He takes trods everywhere"

"Frank's a trucker."

"My dad is pretty handy with shit, too. But I mean..." A gesture at Fran's spirals.

"Oh yeah, this where I call you guys sotheads or make furking troll jokes and brag about nockers being the best..well, we are, but I try to tamp down on talking trash about other kiths- dealt with too much of narrowminds and drek myself so.. mostly just saying THANKS."

"I mean, knowing Bert, nockers are pretty amazing..."

"Bert any good with cars?" Fran asks

"Bert does glass, mostly."

"Oh.. hmm handy if I lost a tail light or windshield got cracked... would you two help me push this monter somewhere? Is there a parking lot folks won't mind?" Fran says

"Oh, we can totally push...."

"You think we could get this to the school lot?"

"The two of us? easy..." Bix says with confidence.

"Hot furking dog I'll steer" Francis says and gets into the car "Thanks, Gorgeous, and thanks to your friend."

The nocker fellow is already to go when Bix says "Her friend? YOu met me first , and I'm the sidekick?"

"It wasn't her I was calling gorgeous" Fran grins

Bix looks stunned, then blushes, then smmiles and gets ready to push when Dagmar does

A snerk.

And she pushes. Car in neutral, this should be easy...

It is, Dagmar and Bix get it there in good time, not like anyone is using the school parking lot to full capacity. When it is moved into a far corner, Francis sets it to park, then steps out "Thanks to you both, I coudln't have moved that monster on my own... got to build up my arm strength." he sighs

"We're trolls, it's a cheat," Bix says "Though there are places to work out nearby if you're not just driving through?" Then he winces as if he has said something terribly lame.

"I'd like that," Fran says

A slowly creeping eyebrow.

Fran has moved to the hood and opened it up again, "Okay now I can work on this furking thing without worrying about getting side swiped"

"Important. Where you from?"

"Originally, Grass but I spent most of my years in Willows..furk, is my accent bad? Does it make me sound likea dumb hick?" Fran looks worried

"Nah, you sound fine. Just not Jersey."

"Where you headed?"

Bix says "Tween you and me, not jersey sound is fine. I'm Iowan myself"
