"There's a car show in Hackensack I got tickets to. I'm hoping to see it" Fran grins "Gonna be a lot of muscle cars. "

"Ha, not sure I can swing the tickets but maybe..." Bix grins.

"Be cool if you do," fran grins "Nothing like muscle but ah, you would know that"

While they talk, Fran is working.. on the car.

"I'll see if I can pull it off. Have to tell Sir Frank I might miss a lesson that day but he's pretty busy himself lots of times"

"Yeah?" Fran says "Your mentor sounds like an important guy."

"SUre is... I mean, I'm not big on the titles but that's MY upbringing ,adn Mountain is a title I respect. His wife is the Chieftain around here.. and she goes by that, not baroness unless she has to," Bix seems to think that choice is admirable

"Furk," Francis says "I need a wing nut, how do I not have a wing nut?"

"Poor life planning."

"Hey," Bix says at Dagmar

The nocker chuckles though "'s cool, man. I'll get my hands on one. At least here I can leave the furking car and it probably won't get jacked. Some streets in missiippi even if the car doesn't work it's going to become someone's patio furniture"

"Just sounded like you weree busting his chops" A shrug, Bix seems less certain.

"if that's what passes for busting chops in Jersey, the state's rep for talking drek is waaaay overblown" Fran waves it off

"He got it." A grin at Fran.

Fran grins back, then says "Mm okay... is there a store or..."

"There's stores. We might have something in Jaymes's mighty collection of coffee can hardware..."

"If he has a wingnut, that'd be great"

"I'm sure we got at least ONE..."

"How much would I Owe you?"

"It's a WINGnut, Fran, not a gold brick" Bix says

"Right? Jeez. Okay, the Barn is about a half mile."

"Lead on," Fran says "les you want me to wait here? either's fine by me"

"Nah, come on."

The three of them head to the house

"DAAAADDDDD, we're taking some wingnuts."

"GRUNT" (Okay. Do not do anything reckless whatever this entails)

She finds said coffee cans, stuffed full of assorted hardware - screws, bolts, washers.... and yes, wingnuts.

"What size?"

He gives the size and yes, they have one of that size

"Should we get anything else while we're here?"

"Oh shoot that's plenty, your dad a troll too?" The nocker asks

"Uh-huh. Mostly trolls around here, but we have other kiths."

"No wonder your gears all stored so high" A grin

"Ha."

"Either of you need something? We got lemonade."

"I could use a drink, thanks Dagmar" Bix says

"me too. Preciate it" Fran says

"Cool." She leads them into the kitchen, and goes about pouring lemonade. During the process, the window is opened and a plum placed out on the sill.

"Feeding birds?" Fran asks confused "Or...

It is then a small monkey paw darts down and snatches the plum

"Big darn bird." A laugh.

"What the furk?" Fran says

"Good morning, Friend dagmar" A voice chimes from outside

"That's Snow. She likes fruit."
