A laugh. "Okay, that's corny." And she stays at a distance. "Slowpoke."

His arm slows him a bit, but is water worthy. "Are you slippery when wet?"

"CORNY!" She announces, though she's also laughing. And she might just be slowing down a bit.

A playful lunge for her foot.

A laughing shriek, and she tugs her foot away. Slippery indeed!

Then a wicked look, and she takes a deep breath and is gone, out of sight under the water.

"I..." He looks aroound, treading, "Sylvi?"

And suddenly he can feel her grab his calf!

"Whoa..." He doesn't kick.

But he tries to track her with his eyes.

She's behind him, and she lets go of his leg, but swims up tantalizingly close behind his back, gasping a bit as she reaches the air again. "Gotcha."

He turns twisting, and herbody and his meet with only thin material to protect.

Her hair is slicked down, some tendrils free of her ponytail and curling against her cheek. And oh boy, is she blushing, but smiling, too.

His flesh and blood hand reaches out a finger, and strokes a tendril of hair.

Then tucks it behind her ear.

She bites her lip at the touch, her hands coming up to rest on his chest.

And Colton's legs weave a bit against hers, and he kisses her.

She certainly doesn't try to avoid him this time, their legs brushing together as they kiss while treading water. It's a nice, long kiss, too. Or at least, as long as they can manage without starting to sink.

They do eventually, and they bob back up and he laughs softly "Worse ways than that to drown"

She laughs, too. "Yeah, if you gotta go...." She's definitely blushing now. "I, uh, wouldn't mind doing a lot of that this summer," she suggests.

"Me too," hands around her waist as they support each other. "Maybe a quest"

"Maybe," she nods, but she's distracted by the touch of his hands, both flesh and non, on her waist, and the feel of him so close...a shaky breath, and a smile. "Sure, yes...yes...a quest."

"Of course, there are a lot of ..things we could explore without leaving the area." Another soft kiss, this time behind her ear.

A shiver....well, the water is chilly... "That's...a different kind of quest..." she whispers. It doesn't sound like an argument.

"Still kind of scary exciting though"

A shaky smile and a nod. "It is. It...could be. Maybe. I think...." Definitely nervous.

...but that excited kind of nervous.

"Could be, would be. " A kiss again

A kiss...and a nod....whispered, "We...could find a place to be alone, sometime. And...uh...talk about it?" Oh, lame, Sylvi.

"Sure... soon maybe, but you know i never want to press you into anything" Speaking of pressing, their bodies are pressing against each other.

Another shiver...and this time she's the one who initiates the kiss, and he may be surprised at the eagerness of it as she moves just so against him....in far-too-little of a bathing suit.

Oh yes, young bodies are definitely interacting in ways that... well are very.. she's eager to..

She breaks the kiss, and leans to whisper against his ear, "You're not pressuring me. Not at all."

"Good," He whispers back "Because you're special to me."

Something moves in the water... from below

She's starting to say something in response...then suddenly her smile vanishes. "What's...?" She pushes away from him, looking towards her feet. "There's something...."

And coming up from the water a figure, large, blood around him...

"Get back.." Colton puishes her away to relative safety

"No!" She scowls, staying by him. Whatever this is, she intends to fight it with him.

Then her father bursts out of the water holding the severed head of a Fishman! A Chtulu Chimerical horror!

Her eyes couldn't get any larger unless a cantrip was involved. "DAD?!"

"Lake trod is open.. I ... " Olgar looks at her, "Sylvi, you'll freeze your ass off in that"

"Dad!" A completely different kind of blush, now, and she's blushing hard as she looks at Colton, then at her friends on the pier. "You can't be here!" she hisses at him.

"What, you want me to go back into the water trod now that I've stopped this place from looking bloodier than Crystal lake?" Olgar says "I'm a rover hun, RO-ver."

"I can protect the place, and your daughter, sir," Colton says.

Sylvi looks at the fishman head, and looks like she'd like to vanish through the trod herself.

"I can protect mySELF," she points out to both men, a bit miffed at Colton's comment.

"Colton? What are you doing here?" Olgar says then he says "oh."

"I..." Colton is caught off guard by Sylvi's ire.

"He's my BOYfriend, and we were on a DATE with my FRIENDS, Dad." Annoyance has now outweighed crushing embarrassment.
