She's known this landmark, but...perhaps it is the fact that it is an anchor that has made her fail to notice it often. But now, she sees it, and sees the mark.

Her eyes darken.

Siv says "Mom. I know we're suppposed to be stoic, but I find this guy, I may break his damn arm"

Brekke nods. "He is planning to chop down trees here, I think." She seems ready to go seek him right away, but she has a job to do. "Klump, rest here." She helps ease the glome to the ground so he can lean against the boulder.

"I have glamour. Full up..."

"Hurtz.." Klump groans but settles down.

"Chief's gonna fix it. She's amazing."

Brekke nods at Dagmar. "Siv, watch our backs. Dagmar, take my hand, and his." She offers one massive hand to the girl.

Siv nods and stands ready.

The mark is.. mmm is it possible to have something that is ALMOST Cold iron? Odd remnants on the defacing.

She takes Brekke's hand, and rests the other on her friend's shoulder.

Brekke is puzzled by those remnants, and sets a few scrapings aside to inspect later...but first things first. She puts the palm of her free hand on the stone scar and closes her eyes. Her anger is hard to settle into concentration.

Siv does go stoic. No time for chatter, or distraction. She has a task.

She squeezes Brekke's hand.

Brekke's hand spreads wide against the stone surface. Then with a finger she traces old runes over the scar, marks of healing...and she traces them over and over again....and again...and again...hard enough to scrape her flesh to draw blood into the tracing.

And it is well...

it is well that she does it again and again...

it is well that she pours herself into this... glamour and blood if need be...

for the wound was, at first, slow to heal....

but it is well...

for like waters refusing a dam's denial, the healing breaks over, and triumphs...

and it is well, the mar vanishes... clean and almost new again... smooth but not cut or defaced.

And a Glome stands, his strength and self returned.

It's very well indeed!

She seems almost in a trance as she works, almost no longer a thinking being but merely an action and the energy of that action...and as the cantrip succeeds, she slumps her hands dropping to the ground to support her.

Dagmar offers her glamour to Brekke, if needed.

Which it seems it may be... she wasn't lying about being "full up" - not after the surprise gift of it from this morning, of boy and dog reunited...

Dagmar's glamour was used, yes...cautiously and apologetically at first, but then more.

And it is Siv who speaks first, "I see him. I think it's him."

Brekke would very much like to rest right now, but Siv's words make her alert, and she rises to her feet.

Klump turns, "I am whole now... if you wish... I will break him in half."

"He hurt you." Grim. She grabs Flyswatter.

Brekke hesitates a moment before shaking her head...but she seems to be warring with her temper. Jaw tight, she looks in the direction Siv points.

"He's raising an axe against a tree!" Siv says and is moving.

"STOP, ASSHOLE!"

indeed, beyond the clearing, a man in hunters plaid raises an axe against a northern red oak

Brekke doesn't speak. She is moving, towering even as a mortal woman, and she reaches out a hand to make a YANKING motion...enough legerdemain to pull the axe from the man's hand as if it has slipped. Yes, she needs to Wyrd it...

Then he turns "Go away, punk. Mind your own bizze..."

She doesn't break her stride. As she closes on him, she demands, "What do you think you are doing?"

the axe slipped loose, but it was the handle that responded.

Cold Iron ? The metal is.. not cold iron, but almost..

Big Nordic woman, built like a tank, and not afraid to be just as intimidating as possible. She walks right up on him.

"what the hell.." The man says as he slipped, then looks at her, "None of your business, lady. Man has a right to forage"

Dagmar stalks after, scowling.

But he does NOT get in her face.

"No, he does not. Not on these lands. Park ranger. You are in trouble." And she stops with her foot on the handle of his dropped axe.

Chill.. not enough to put her in danger, she knows REAL cold iron, but close.

The words Park Ranger however make him blanch and back up. He looks for his ways out.

Brekke nods her head to Dagmar and Siv for them to block his retreat, though she never takes her eyes off of him. "Who are you?" she demands.

Dag stands at teh ready.
