"KIDDING..." Lupita says

"Well, alright, so..." One bill to May, one to Lupe, one to Sam...

"Hey, I don't uhm need reemmber? " May says. Trying to hand it back. ( One can almost imagine her burning a willpower point)

"Yeah, but you helped anyways, right?"

"So it wouldn't be fair."

"You two need 625 bucks. I'm doing the math here" May says and crosses her arms "Nope."

"And so this puts us... uh... 200 closer, right?"

Lupita looks REALLY torn.

"YOU got Tove AND Torrin and I don't think he woulda made it without them helping.."

May takes a deep breath, and looks at both her latina and racially mixed friend and says "I hereby invoke my White Privilege and refuse my share of the reward"

Lupita STARES at her, "That's NOT how White privilege works"

"What's the point of a privilege if you can't invoke it?" May says "Invoked"

"But it... we're already getting more if it's 2-2-1..."

"Lupe, help me out here..."

"We can still mow, right? Hey, maybe she'll need Vinland Lawn Services, right?"

"I'm still trying to get my head around her calling out white privilege it was some weird reverse dibs. " Lupita admits stunned "I don't think you listened to that lesson in school right"

May sets her jaw and looks, for a moment, almost troll like. "I won't take the money"

"But you helped too..."

"I helped friends. You don't help friends for money. You guys helped the dog, I helped you get the dog but I didn't do it for the dog. SO..ergo sum ergo no Benjerman" She says

"Okay I KNOW that sentence is wrong" Lupita says "The Ergo part"

"I just... I just want to be fair.."

"Hey girls, your mom just told me more about that camp" The woman says, "I think it's great. How about I make it 600 dollars?"

May almost whimpers

"Well.." She fidgets. "Hey, do you need lawn care?"

"We have a guy who comes by every two weeks" She says

"Oh, right... sure, of course. Do you have any friends who might? We're real reliable."

The woman blinks, "let me understand this. I'm trying to pay you three an extra hundred dollars because you rescued Theo and because I like the idea of this basketball camp... but you'd rather put in MORE work for it?"

She rubs the back of her neck. "I just.. I wanna be fair?"

"how about this..." She looks at the leash "I buy that leash from you. I could use a spare."

Sam looks at Lupe and May, uncertain.

"I.. guess?" Lupita says

May nods cautiously

"Great." She hands the hundred to Dagmar "Bought and sold. I don't need a receipt. Boy that saved me a lot of hassle thank you"

Lupita actually begins to chuckle

Sam blushes a little. "Thank you, ma'am."

"No, thank YOU' She says "now I'm going to talk to your mom a bit more, but it should be over quick. Then we.." She nods to Mike, "Are heading towards the vet"

And May is handed the final hundred.

"I..."

"Well, it's yours now, and you can decide what to do with it."

"So help me, if you 'invoke' white privilege again, we will stick that bill somewhere delicate and I say that as a friend" Lupita is less tactful

"Okay okay..." May puts it away blushing

"You're our friend. So... so, like, when we go to camp, you can white privilege us up a pizza."
