Colton moves to the awakening DeBUkes "It's okay, guys. She got me too for a moment. This isn't your fault" He says it low, but the girls can hear it

"You don't DO that to people, Twine." Stubbornly.

"I shall not do that to people" Twine says to Dagmar "Now, please?"

"Dagmar...she let them go." Sylvi nods to her.

"Yeah. Reminding her not to do it again."

"I will remember" Twine says with a pout

The DeBuke boys are moving towards the footbridge, still flush with embarrassment despite Colton trying to reassure. One mutters "weak willed... " another "dishonored big time"

Sylvi eyes the woodwife. "Were you getting lonely out here? Is that why you...hunted them?"

"I... well, it's colder and men can keep you very warm. Surely one of you has tried it? The weight of them pressing down can be pleasantly warming" she chimes

Nadeen mutters "Crass"

Dagmar tenses up, face going still.

Sylvi's eyes get wide and she blushes.

Twine looks them over "Perhaps none of you are ripe yet"

"Someone get me an axe" Nadeen says darkly

"I think...we'd better go. And Twine, maybe you should take a nap in your tree for a while? Alone?"

"yes yes, maybe I shall rest until spring" A sigh "I Hope it comes soon"

And the Chimera steps into the tree and is gone

"Oh, it will. I'm sure of it. Only a few weeks."

Sylvi looks a bit troubled, and murmurs to the others, "I could probably do a cantrip to warm her...but I think it's better and safer to leave her asleep for at least a little while, right?"

BIC: Nadeen says "You realize, it maybe interesting to see if she turns into a true kubera one day... and yes, better to let her sleep"

Dagmar doesn't answer, still holding tight to Flyswatter and watching her feet.

Sylvi nods, then glances over. "You okay, Dagmar?" gently.

Testily. "Are we done now? I'm ready to head back."

"I...guess so. We did a rescue. I think hot cocoa is in order, right?"

"You were clever, figuring out where her tree was. I missed that completely."

"Yes, you were very perceptive, Dagmar" Nadeen nods "And put the fear of the lodge in her properly"

A grunt. "She looked at it."

Colton says "Sorry, girls. I.. uhm.. for a moment" A blush "My brain was shut off"

"I missed it," Sylvi repeats...then hazards a look at Colton. "You okay?"

"Lil shaken" He admits with a blush "And very embarrassed"

"Not your fault."

"You weren't expecting her to do that."

"Yeah, stiill tacky to do when you're girlfriend is right there" A weak smile to sylvi "I will try be charmed by magic when you're not in the area next time"

A blink. "Um...no. No, I'd rather be around and able to give you a good solid poke." And she jabs him in the side again with false anger.

"Ah, yeah," He looks sheepish again but this time for a different reason and grunts obligingly at the poke "My heroine"

A grin, and she takes his hand briefly...but releases again as they start back.

Dagmar stomps ahead, forging the path home.

Sylvi watches Dagmar's back with some concern.

Nadeen looks ahead and comments "Dagmar did not like Twine's actions. Some nerve touched there I think" She treis to say it quietly enough so Dagmar herself does not hear

"Yeah," Sylvi mutters back. "And...best not to push her about it. There's...stuff."

"There you are" A fussy voice says

Sylvi stops and looks around.

As Dagmar comes into view of Mis McGillidy's lawn

"Oh, great...." Sylvi mutters, but then puts on a pleasant expression as they approach .

"WELL?" The woman says as if expecting telepathy

"Who or what is this?" Colton mutters under his breath

"Yeah, and here we go, you sour old bag."

"So this is what happens when the Chieftain is gone. I should have know things would go to hell when that ogre and his wife were left in charge " Hurumph "Wilders grow disrespectful"

"Mrs. McGillicuddy, she's a challenge...."
