Vali looks around "We need volunteers for patrols while hte others are out to take up the slack. Or you can stay here and guard the lodge?"

"Well, you need lodge guards too. So maybe a schedule for both?"

"I think our Chief pro tem will be good with that. Which do you prefer though?"

"Oh... prefer? Dunno, both?"

"I want to go," Gerd says "I can escort Dagmar"

"I think it's best you keep your eyes here, Gerd. "Vali says

Gerd frowns "You Went on quests at my age."

"Yes, so I know you're not ready for it" Vali says then "Okay, Dagmar. I'm going on patrol for a bit. You got the lodge for a bit."

"Gerd can guard with me, yeah?"

"Well, okay, I guess so." He says

Gerd shoots the older girl a grateful look

A flash of a grin for the childling.

"Okay thanes, you've got my cellphone number"

Her chest puffs out a bit. "Yeah. Thanes got it."

Vali smiles as Gerd emulates, then he nods "Okay. Later, thanes will be thanked with brownies"

"NICE."

And out he goes. Gerd looks at Dagmar "Thanks. " A hug

"Hey, no big. So - we wanna set up by the door? We could be all "WHO GOES" and "9 o Clock and ALL'S WELL!"

Gerd looks at her as if this is the most b rilliant idea EVER "I'll get a clock"

"You ever see the Robin Hood cartoon?"

"I did...and I saw an old animated movie with Gulliver where this little liipuation guy sings ALLS well too"

"So see? It's a thing!"

"Yes, but I never got to do it before. "A beaming smile and off she runs to get the clock

Meanwhile, near a window, Mackerel stares out the window. SHe's a cat, so clearly she's NOT wondering where Siv is..that's dog nonsense. And yet, she doesn't look happy

"What is it, Mack?" Dagmar goes to peek out.

Mack starts cleaning herself. she don't miss nobody

And outside the window, there is Nadeen and Zane? Near a tree. Hard to see what they are doing

Hard to see, but Dag can try!

Are they holding hands? yes, yes they are! Their heads bob behind the tree for a moment.. and they COULD be kissing? But that would be aguess. Definite hand holding going on

She shakes her head. Satyrs.

Still, the ice queen is kissing? They do break apart, and Nadeen approaches the lodge//And Gerd has returned with a clock "Igot it wound up and everything, old school"

"Nice! Nadeen is coming, so be sure to ask her her business! Look sharp!"

Nadeen starts to enter, Gerd stands straight "Halt, who goes there?"

Dagmar stands, stoic.

"It's Nadeen, what is this?"

"Interim Thane Gerd is doing her duty."

"Oh good grief.. permission to enter?"

Dagmar nods at Gerd.

"Proceed, fledge Nadeen."

Nadeen enters, her sword at her side, but its lips are closed "I came here to assist with the lodge and find myself at a modern checkpoint charlie"

"What's a checkpoint charlie?"

"I mean, we're having fun... Vali is looking for help, I said I'd do both guard and patrol..."

"It was some bit of mortal history...a cold war... there was a wall.... " Nadeen says "And I didn't mean to spoil your...."

"____________ O CLOCK AND ALL IS WELL" Gerd yells

A grin.

"Well, you wanna hang out with us now?"

Nadeen nearly jumps "Is she going to do that every hour?"

"Yup!"

"It's my duty" she says
