"So... so you need a safe target for the anger. Something that is okay to hurt. Maybe that's wrong, but.. I mean, I can't just make my anger go away. But I can direct it."

"Who deserves that kind of rage?"

She considers. "Monsters."

"Like - rapists, or child abusers, or Nazis."

"Or maybe real monsters, too. Like from movies."

"Maybe.. I don't know."

"Well, I usually just break inanimate stuff when I'm not able to keep it in line."

"You have like karaate boards?"

"Nah. I should! Probably smart."

She llooks at her friend's strong hands "THICK Boards" A grin

"Yeah. I'm a big lunk."

"You're an AMAZON" Defensive for her friend

"Good friend."

"I am, but I'm also right. You're not a lunk. You would be tripping all over yourself on the court if you were just a big lunk. You're an amazon. Don't make me climb up you and knock sense in your head"

She holds her hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay."

"Good" It would appear defending Sam from Sam trashing Sam has given Lupita a chance to forget about her own problems or self pity.

"Hey, you wanna play X-box?"

"I got this pirate game..."

"Pirates? Shit sure..."

"Oh, just you wait, it's awesome..."

"Let's do this..."

It is later when the Chieftain shows up to claim Lupita, to show the way to the Caern

Lupita may know Brekke as Sylvi's kind-of-weird aunt who's tall and kind of gruff-looking, and who owns the house that Sylvi lives in with a bunch of family. But they might not have interacted much, directly. ((Your decision on this, Mr. D.))

"Uhm, hello, ma'am" Lupita says cautiously. She's a loudmouth with her own peers at timee, but appears to have been raised to respect the older women of hero wn famiily and is showing deference. "You're Mrs. King right? Siv mentioned you"

Gonzales is, at the least, well fed and warmly dressed - the pair of teens playing pirates when Brekke arrives.

Dagmar pays catch up, saving the game and popping up at her teammates side.

Brekke is dressed in her warm gear, ranger coat, hatchet on her belt. She looks a bit stern, but she nods. "I am. And you are Lupita Gonzales. It is good to meet you." She reaches to shake the girl's hand.

Her manner seems a bit tense. "What can you tell me about what happened to you at the dance?"

Sam gives Lupe a little elbow-nudge of support.

Not Enchanted, Brekke is not a big blue giant to Lupita, but she is still a tall woman, well toned, "Honestly, I can tell you I had nightmares all week, about the earth crying ...everything sick with rot. And the moon's light showing me things and I ...dreams of violence. I tried to dig out the rot, the filth, you know? But it was ..." A frown "It wasn't the blood. It was the anger. I was SO damn angry. And when I woke up, I was still angry."

"Then last night... that anger just...bubbled over.. I heard the laughter, and suddenly the dreams came back. And...it became like this haze.. I only remember wanting to kill everything everyone, to cleanse the place..." A swallow "But it's black rage. I.." A bite of her lips "I'm not.. I don't go looking for fights."

Brekke listens, and then she nods. "I believe you."

"She didn't hurt anyone. Not one person."

"I just don't back down when pushed. " A frown "I.. thought i remembered a light through the red and black of the rage... it was like...sunshine cutting through the murk"

A look to Sam. "I think you are part of the reason for that, Sam...but yes. I am not here to blame Lupita."

"Hm." Brekke looks thoughtful. "Interesting. I do not know enough about shifters to know if that is normal."

"I know that I nearly killed my friends. I know that Sam saved me from doing that"

A deep breath. "We must be sure that does not happen in the future. For this is what you are, and you must be taught how to manage what you are." Her accent, though not pronounced, nevertheless adds a bit more other-ness to the tall woman. "Will you trust me to take you to others like you? You must do exactly as I say."

"Other wolf people, like me" She says "They'll teach me to control this. " Lupita nods "Okay. Sam..Sam says you're important to...well, she can't tell me what she is, but I know she's different in a different way. And you're different too. Don't worry. I don't snitch. And... if you know this like Professor X werewolf guy, should probably talk to him"

"I didn't know what the rules were for prodigals."

A furrowed brow. "This is, indeed, a more complicated situation than I am familiar with. But...Sam, I think what she knows so far is fine, but no further if we can avoid it. Lupita, forgive me, but it must be that way, for now."

She nods. "Like she's gonna have werewolf secrets."

"And you must let her have them, yes." A moment's consideration. "Lupita, I would like Sam to come with us. Do you permit this?"

"i don't want her hurt, but yeah"

"I'm tough. And can keep my mouth shut." Chest puffed, chin up.

"I think that it might be wise for them to know you as a trusted ally for her, Sam."

She nods. "I'll protect her at school."
