"She's got hustle," Gonzalez observes amused

"She does. Lots of energy. You know the french teacher? She's his niece."

"Yeah? He's..kind of cute" Lupita says

"Oh, noooooo. No. He's a total nerd."

"He's one cut nerd" SHe counters

"Maybe. But, like - you don't understand. The puns, Lupe!"

"Puns? THey any good?"

Jaymes grunts

At taht grunt, Lupita blsushes realizing she had forgotten there was an adult male listening to her admit she found a french teacher cute.

She chuckles. "Don't worry, Jaymes'll be sworn to secrecy - right?"

"I'm not a talker" Jaymes grunts and goes back to eating.

"Exactly."

Lupita smiles "Cool"

"So, I think anything I have is gonna be too big on you. I promise, we won't let anybody catch you dressed up looking all baggy."

"Is cool I'm ... I got clothes at home and Tove hooked me up."

"Tove's good at that."

"Yeah, she says most o the girls she knows are tall but she adjusted a few things. She sings, she carves wood, cooks and sews. If she has a good lay up I'm going to feel ToTaLly outclassed"

"Tove is pretty awesome. She's gonna marry Jaymes."

"Congratulations, sir" She says

"Thanks. Yeah. SHe's..something, but she would tell you both that you're both talented in your own ways, and young yet with lots of room to grow any way you want." He finishes his meal

"Sure..."

"I got to sort things out before I make that many life choices thanks" Lupita sighs

"I'm never gonna get married. I'm gonna have a big house and, like, fifteen cats and a bunch of foster kids."

"BIG crazy cat lady?" Lupita says. It would appear Twobit is warming to her.

"Just a cat lady. Not crazy."

"And like, being a safe place."

"Yeah, that's cool" Lupita says "So... going to like gold medal in something on the way to that big house? Championship?"

"Well, we'll see how track and softball and lacrosse go... you trying out with me?"

"Lacrosse seems a bit waspy"

"Actually..." Jaymes says "It's a Native American thing I think."

"Don't worry about that if thats what you want" he says

"Well, we'll see if I get on any of them. In track, there's this thing called hammer throw, and it's all just hurling shit super far."

"Geez, you would so NAIL that"

Lupita, of course "And yeah, I'll probably try out for other things"

"Softball looks like a lot of fun."

"You got a position you're hoping to get on Softball?"

"BOOM, hit the ball into the sky, right?" She shrugs. "I wanna bat. I dunno - maybe outfield? I don't know how I'd do at pitching."

"you might make a good catcher too. Tough hands"

"Maybe!"

"See, I could see you as a shortstop, and not just for the puns..."

"Good thing, too many short jokes and I'd take that bat to more than one person"

"But you're fast, and you react on a dime. So.." A shrug.

"Thanks" She says with a grin "It's why we work well together. You got the might and endurance."
