Jaymes has never seen a pagoda, let alone a tree pagoda, but , of course, Tove thought it an interesting challenge

Dagmar is sitting beside him, dutifully sanding edges. "It's gonna be so pretty!"

"It doesn't ahve to be pretty, it's a tree house for a monkey" Jaymes says

tove tuts "Anything worth doing is worth doing right"

"It'll be solid" He assures

"Well, we have to look at it, right? And besides, Snow is chinese."

"At least I think I am" Snow says "I have a very long and lovely name and am quite exotic"

Jaymes grunts and keeps working

"It sounds Chinese, yes. And I think jade is from China, too."

"oh, like my large eyes" Snow blinks slowly to make an example

"Exactly, yes." Sand sand sand. "So, how did Acero capture you?"

"With one of those traps and fruit" Embarrassed, "I do love fruit"

"poor thing" Tove says as she works in the detailing

"Well, lucky he didn't get you back. Do you have people? A family?"

"No, no family... at least, not any I remember"

"Oh. Okay. So what's next, you think?"

"Well, Aero is gone, so I do not know. I might get to knnow this forest. The cold does not bother me too much, as long as I have a little shelter, say a Pagoda tree house" Snow observes

"What are the odds that's just the thing?" Jaymes observes back

"Da-ad, you said 'anything worth doing is worth doing well,' right?"

"I do not recall" He says

She harrumphs. "Kings don't half-ass things."

He winces, "I believe that was homework related. Or ..at least not a tree house"

"Maybe I can take pictures and show it to Mr. DeWitt?"

"If it'll help with extra credit or something," He redoubles his work

Siv walks by, patrolling it seems.

"SIV!" She waves!

Siv waves back, gives a slight smile then, a confused look "Quite the project"

Snow smiles and waves excitedly "They are making me a tree house!"

"Can you hang out or are you working?"

"Patroling" Her smile is still small "Mum and Da ...something is going on. They aren't telling me. And..thats okay I guess. So I'll help em the only way I know how"

Tove raises a brow "You're patrolling to give yoru folks more time free?"

Siv says "Aye, and please don't tell them I worded it that way."

"Uhg. I guess not a monster. Maybe it's money?"

"I guess, but they've never... no, I don't think it's money" SHe sighs

"I don't think either of them are druggies, but you know, sometimes they hide it..."

Siv rolls her eyes "My folks aren't druggies. Heckm mum and da barely touch the sauce."

"Well, I'm trying to figure..."

"I know and.. I appreciate it, I do" Siv says "I just.. bit wound up. I should focus on my duty. That's what they need me to do now" Her smile vanishes and she and Oak resume patrol

Tove waves to her, then looks to Jaymes "You want me to ask Frank and Brekke about that?"

Jaymes ponders "Not sure it's our business."

"Probably not..."

tove humphs

Jaymes says "We'll keep an eye out for Siv. And if she needs a place to go besides the lodge, we let her know she can unwind here."

"Sounds good. Hey, you want me to drill some pilot holes?"

"Good idea... " Jyames nods//Tove says "here and here I think would be best. you agree?" Gesturing

She nods and switches out the bit in the drill.
