Connor stands before Gerd’s door, having given it a rap, and then shifts his weight from foot to foot impatiently waiting for an answer. His hands are behind his back.

The door opens and Gerd opens it "Yes ? "

Brown Dog sniffs at Connor's hands. Treat? Wag?

“Hey, no, brown friend. This is for Gerd!” He protests, lifting up the item over his head so the dog cannot snuffle it from the ground. It’s... what... what IS that? An orb roughly basketball sized, but bright orange and somewhat lumpy? Brown Dog seems VERY interested in this.

"Uhm..what's that?" Gerd says curious

“It’s a boulder of moon cheese!” He holds it out to her with a beaming smile. “You know from the moon! I felt bad that we didn’t make it the other day so I popped by after maths and got you one.”

He offers it to her.

"Oooooo I..think Miss Kerri might not be happy about this"

"But thank you?" She takes it taking it trying to be nice

He blinks at her. “But, it’s a present.” He looks confused, and concerned. Oh... it’s... squishy.

Brown Dog hops up on Gerd and LICKS the ball.

"'ack" Startled she drops the ball entirely

A bit of orange sloughs off into his tongue! American sliced goodness, molded on!

A thump as it hits the ground, and... bounces? Thump, thump, thump... rolling down the stairs... leaving orange spots. “Oh no!”

For once, Gerd isn't going to question that it's a pooka talk, she shoots under her bed

"Connor??? " A voice calls up

He watches her hide, then after a moment, goes to the top of the stairs. “Not here, he’s still on the moon...” he calls down.

"Conner, get down here now young man." Sally mae says

He scrambles down the stairs noisily, and stops in front of Sally Mae. “Yes’m, moon unit commander Buddy reporting for duty.”

"Do you have anything to say about all our cheese being used up, this close to thanksgiving?"
