Sylvi starts rattling off the tale...of going to visit Kelby, of being attacked by the water snake chimera (she leaves out the part about playing bait), of the crystals, of what the eshu spirit said, of coming back to search for the scepter, of finding Dagmar (but not of finding Siv and Bancroft) who picked up the trail, of finding the bush, and of Dagmar and Kelby pulling the prize free! "...and we brought it here."

Kelby nods and vouches

Kerri, while listening, has efficiently gone about finishing the Healther Balm, served each of the girls a mug of cocoa, and put out a plate of cookies.

"Ooo..." Dagmar is happily occupied with treats.

Kelby sips the coco

The Hearth frowns a bit at the pan. "I suppose it might be, but with all this rust...here, let me see what I can do with it."

After the story telling, Sylvi's happy to indulge in her cocoa and cookies.

Kerri swirls a bit of oil onto the rust. "This won't do it, but it might let me see the writing a bit better...."

"thank you, Hearth Kerri" kelby remembers her manners

"My pleasure, Kelby..." Kerri replies absently, already focused on the work.

And it...breaks...the rust just breaks away

"Oh! Well, then..." Kerri grins, satisfied at how effective that was. "Seems to be working."

"Still, not getting it all...." She gives it a close look, then recites, "Pancakes, waffles, omelets, eggs//food for all so no one begs."

Glamour washes over the pan like another spill of oil.

Sylvi, watching, murmurs to the others, "Told ya."

A burst of glamour and damage done by the... why this isn't iron, it might have been made to look like it, but no. No wonderi t matched the bush so well, some kind of copper pan?

"Still ain't a sceptre..."

"Ohhhh...well, would you look at this...." Kerri smiles as the metal starts to gleam. "Not at all what it looked like."

And the words flare clear A crown is no good in a kitchen. A sceptre's no good in a smith's forge! Not all titles are noble. At sea a captain might command a lord

And Kerri learns, no..remembers.

Kerri's eyes go wide and distant. "....oh...."

"Hearth?" Kelby says dropping a cookie

"You okay, Miss Kerri?"

Browndog bravely gets the cookie from the floor

The Hearth very carefully sets the pan down on a counter. She stares at a middle distance for a few more moments.

Sylvi gulps. "Mom...?"

Kerri finally looks at them. "I'm...fine. Fine. Yes." A nod, but that little line appears between her brows.

"Did.. did it do smething that sidhe don't wanna share?" Kelby says

The Hearth blinks at the question, then gives a brief little chuckle. "Yes, I think it absolutely did that. Wow." She looks at the pan again and shakes her head. "Ladies, I'm not quite sure what to tell you about this, but...I know I want to speak with the Storm and Mountain about it before anybody else...except perhaps your father, Sylvi."

KElby looks at Sylvi

"What happened?"

"But...you're okay, right?" Sylvi's really worried.
