"Maybe?" She uses a stick to poke at the thorny shrub.

Sylvi searches around the other side to see if there's a better angle.

A scowl, but then she pulls her hoodie sleeve down to protect her hand...

the thorns threatened to bite Dagmar,like Fenris ready to seize Tyr's hand! But the magic of the hoodie sleeve meant it only scratched and she reached in and felt... a handle?

Not a weapon handle, not quite

"Got it?"

"Got something..." She pulls.

It's also stuck..she'll have to pull harder..

Within her capabilities.

GRUNT and..nope

"Maybe...let me try from here...." Sylvi reaches in from a different angle.

Sylvi feels the thorn tear at her hand OW. She did not protect herself!

Kelby sighs "My turn or.. wait... hold on, Dagmar, you try again but I pull on you while you grip it?"

She winces, but...this thing's gotta be just out of reach...

A sigh. "No good. Ow."

She withdraws her hand and sucks the blood from the spot where the thorn got her.

"Sounds good..." She adjusts her grip and tugs.

And KElby tugs on her...

And out omes.... a frying pan in the stone!

Okay, it's actually a frying pan that feel into some cement long ago...and she doesn't just get the pan, but whole large brick sized block of stone

"Well, not it." A laugh.

Sylvi blinks. "No...wait."

Just as she says that, it flickers, even under the rust

"That...that makes perfect sense. It's for my mom, right? The eshu said..." She tries to get a closer look.

"It's all rusted over"

Kelby wrinkles her nose

Yet this is writing...you just can't make it out

"I don't get it?"

"It's a frying pan! She's the Hearth, and she cooks! It's perfect." She tries to fleck away some of the rust.

No good, there re definite words but she can't make them out realy the rust isn't going. then again, her MOM knows how to remove rust

"This can totally be de-rusted, I know it. I've seen her do it. Never thought it would be for a scepter, though...."

"You sure it's the thing? I mean... it's a pan.."

"It's something the sidhe keep only to themselves.. I guess?"

Doubtfful, but "should we take it to your mom then?"

"Totally. Come on!" They may think she's nuts, but Sylvi's absolutely sure this is the right thing.

"Well, okay." Agreeably enough.

Kelby gives a dubious look but follows "We got lots of pans on the farm"

"Is it magicked to look like a pan?"

"Maybe"

The three of them return to the lodge....and head straight towards the kitchen. Kerri seeing her bleeding daugher dropping cement bits on the floor.

"Could be. I mean, if you wanted something that a sidhe would overlook, it would be a rusty iron pan, right?"

"well, sidhe and other normal people, too..."

Kerri assesses the situation and smoothly turns for the first aid kit...which in this case is a vial of lightly-glamoured water she keeps near the sink for just such an occasion. "What happened?" she asks with all the fatalism of the mother of a daughter who keeps putting herself into damaging situations.

Sylvi smiles and clanks the pan down on a counter (making her mother wince). "Okay, this story has a lot of parts to it, but we got you something!"

A dubious look as she takes her daughter's hand, leads her to the sink, and dribbles water over the wound while humming a lullabye.
