"I didn't pay much attention to music before here." She shrugs.

"Oh" He says deflating just a bit"well, no harm, a lot of DeBukes didn't" Spencer says "So your hobbies are mostly beating up my cousinn Kelby when she gets smug? that's a good start"

"Yeah. I'm good at beating stuff up..." She frowns a little at that, not sure why it bothers her. "So I guess that's it."

Spencer raises a brow at the frown "Well, seems to me like your'e also good at team work and protecting your team mates or you guys wouldn't have swept the feield. I knnow I was supposed to cheer on our own ,but by the end of it I was rootin for you guys. Manyou whomped those sidhe GOOD"

"Well, Sylvi really is the leader type."

"oh lots of praise for her too. But i saw you take a hit for others" He says then sighs "me? I'll never be a warrior."

torrin is taking out the food and setting up three plates. The smell is rich in meat and spices

Torrin speaks up "What Dagmar is neglecting to mention is that in addition to 'beating stuff up' she's also trying her hand at wood and medal and is getting to be a pretty good athlete. Have a seat you two."

"I play basketball. It helps being tall."

"Oh see don't tell Kelby that or she'll want a rematch but on the basketball court, and she's really good" He admits but does ..is he pulling out a chair for Dagmar?

A puzzled pause, then. "Thanks. And I'm not that great, but it's fun. I'm gonna try out for softball, too."

"And track! There's divisions just for throwing heavy stuff!"

SPencer takes his own seat, but only once she does. "Yeah? You know Javelins used to be used for hunting."

"Yeah? Makes sense. I don't think I like hunting that much, unless you need to - like, I saw this lady who killed a lion, and the lion was one who just liked tourists, real friendly..."

"I don't think that's the same as if, like, you won't eat if you don't hunt."

"It's not" The boy says with a sort of disdain, not for her, but for those that hunt merely for sport, "Hunting should be for food, or for protection of your lands. And you should use as much of what you kill as you ccan. After that, you thank someone.. either your gods, or nature, or fate or even the animal for it. It's about balance, least.. that's what DeBukes are taught"

"That makes sense, sure. I like that idea - thanking, I mean."

"Speaking of which I'm going to have to thank .well, a moment of respect for the food. It's a DeBuke things oyou dig write in .Uhm.. who cooked this?" He looks about

"Tove. Why?"

"Well, I'm going to mention my thanks for her skills" A blush "I know, it seems silly"

Torrin doees look amused but hides it

"Seems okay. Tove's the best cook here."

Spencer shoots a grateful look then says "Danu, mother of trolls, I thank you for this meal and for the skills and kindness of Tove beause frankly I was hungry and I think my mentor had forgotten to eat. Oh and thanks for my mentor and thanks for Dagmar bringing it. So mote Amen and respect"

"Done" he says and starts digging in

"Cool." A grunt of agreement before she tucks in as well.

torrin mutters something "would have remembered food eventually"

"Jaymes forgets about food sometimes, too."

"I don't see how. I'm like hungry like every few hours , real powerful hungry" the boy says

"Right? I dunno, distraction, I guess."

"You'll find it doeesn't go away as fast as you get older" the Grump warns "The food that is"

"There's always food at the Lodge."

"Oh I can't go there, we were told the Rivervale folks were doing important stuff and not to just show up" Spencer says ,then he looks a bit wistful "uhm, about Sylvi? How. .How IS she doing?"

"You can't go? That doesn't seem right."

"Well I COULD but I feel like I would be a bother"

"Sylvi's okay, I guess. She got weird for a while, but seems more herself now."

"Oh..good" At mention of Sylvi "That's good.She.. never mentioned me to you? Spencer I mean?"

"Oh" his face falls a bit

Torrin seems to cchoose an odd time for a subject change "Hope you don't mind the spicy part of the meal? tove likes Spicy"

"oh no sir, it's quite delicious. And different from my usual fair. Our Hearth tends to go for savory I guess"

"Tove likes spicy stuff. All different kinds."

Torrin nods "I'm afraid food on Thyle was bland. She's sworn never again and I think she means it"

"uhgh , food without flavor's almost as bad as a song with no passion" the boy says

"Thyle sounds pretty shitty."

She nods. "I'd like that. All I really know is they put some trolls out in the ghetto."
