"Then I'll get on it" Siv says "And... even if you are oathbound, if she treats you like some servant, I'll sic mum on him, or Uncle Olgar. Uncle Olgar takes no shit from anyone"

A pause "Well, Aunt Kerri's got him by the short hairs but that's how it should be"

She laughs a little. "She does!"

A grin "Other than that, no shit from anyone"

"Agreed! And Jaymes had some good ideas on at least getting her to leave Symon alone..."

"He did? Oh yeah, that darned sword" She wrinkles her nose, "how, Earmuffs for Symon?"

"Not quite. But that's worth a shot too."

BIC: Siv says "Well, you going to tell me his idea or is it best held in reserve?"

"I think it is a bit secret right now..."

"All right then," Siv says good with that "Glad Jaymes has a back up plan. I'll call Mountain Emmit now ..give me a few moments?"

"Is he nice?"

"Sylvi says he is. I've only met him a few times but he seems okay to me. Clem vouches for him and Clem's got a good head on her shoulders most of the time. "

"I like Clem okay..."

"Then I'll make the call" Siv says pulling out her cellphone "I love this thing" As if it wasn't common every day tech but rather magic

"Well, yeah - it's a cell phone."

"I know rite?" A bit excited "It's a voice to the whole world. " And she calls then, "Aye, I mean..yes Hearth Agnes, it's me Siv DeBuke? Clem's off to Kansas City? Oh no, actually it's your Mountain I was hoping to talk to. Yes, Ma'am. I'l wait." She waits humming and making up her own hold music.

"That trod is the bridge, right?"

"Yup. When you're sained you can go there and see more corn than you'd ever think was necessary" SIv says while she waits, then.. "Oh it's him." She turns to the phone, "Yes, Mountain, It's me, Siv Waveborne? " A smile "yes sir. I was hoping you could visit us to look at one of our own, she's not sained yet so she can't cross the trod safely..."

Siv nods "Uh huh. Yes. Sir. Now? you have time now?" A look to Dagmar "Do you have time, now?"

"Sure!"

"Sure, I mean..yes thank you, mountain"

"Maybe he knows a way to take it off. Like - being unsained is like being a minor, sort of. That's why I'm not allowed to be adopted yet..." A note of hurt there.

"See you soon , sir." SHe hangs up, "Oh now, I think first he'll just see if there is an oath, and what he can learn about it. As for the adopted thing, it bothers Jaymes that he can't yet too I bet."

She suddenly brightens. "He said I could tell people he was my dad, anyways!"

Siv grins "Good. Everyone who sees you together already see you that way anyway. You are SO lucky to have a dad that parks further back. Mine looks at me like I'm nuts"

Time passes at the speed of plot, and roughly ten minutes later, there are foot steps on the foot bridge. A tall man (duh) who sure looks like a farmer type, save for the odd purple circular glasses he's wearing, comes out. His face wrinkles take mostly the form of smile lines but there are few around his eyes that be speak of having seen some sadness more than once. It's a weathered face, one that seems to indicate a life fully lived.

"Jaymes is very understanding"

Siv nodded at the mention of Jaymes, "My da tries to be..." when Emmit comes into view, Siv waves "Welcome, Mountain. This is Dagmar, can I get ye a drink sir? You too, Dagmar?"

"....Hi." She studies him, reverting to wariness.

"A cold drink would be welcome, thank you ,Siv." Emmit offers a hand to Dagmar "Nice to meet you, young lady. I'm Emmit"

"....Dagmar. Which.. I mean, Siv said." She takes his hand.

"So she did, but nice to hear it. Nice name." His grip his firm yet casual "Have a seat on the bench, and tell me what I can do for you. I heard Siv say something about checking for an Oath, but I want to make sure this is what you want. "

Dagmar sits down, curling up in a near-fetal position - knees drawn up and arms tightly wrapped. "We... at school, a sidhe took this girl I knew. My old foster sister..."

He nods, "You keep on talking, I'l listen"

"She... she said I was hers. I was sent here for her."

A brow lift, "mm and you're worried that's so. May I see your hand again? It's like a palm reading"

She offers it out.

And he does look over the lines in her hand and speaks softly "They say every man needs protection

Glamour flows

Dagmar uncurls a bit more, trying to follow the glamour.

The glamour flows and fights something, then... stops

"Interesting, someone may have shielded this..either that, or I'm getting old. Take your hand back. I'm going to reach for the dross" ANd he digs out a flask , it does smell of booze

"Can you take it off? The Oath?"

"Just a second, want to get a read on it first" He spills one drop just a foot to the north of her, then another to the South, then West, then East, and this time sings. Compared to Tove or torrin, he's not great, but he's not bad.
