A knock on the Ironhawk door. That's odd, can't be Tove, she has a key

Dagmar thunders downstairs. "I GOT IT."

She opens the door.

Siv is carrying supplies "Hi, brought food, and news!"

"Oooo, two awesome things. Come in..." TwoBit greets Siv with a bark, and hustle-bustles around her ankles with a wiggly rear end and much sniffing.

"Oh you poor wee thing, you still think you're a dog," She pets her

"I know, right?" Dag leads back to the kitchen.

After setting stuff down, "Hearth Kerri needed volunteer to drop off the left overs. Apparently Rover olgar bought too much ham from the DeBukes on a 'good deal'"

Odin is crouched on top of the fridge, glaring at Shaggy Thing. "Ooo, ham..."

"I do like Twobit's new hair cut, less messy"

"You want a sandwich? We got bread." Pass-by scritch for Odin's ears. "Still shaggy, though. Tiny mop."

"I think you like her shaggy... or maybe Uncle Jaymes does." Siv smiles at the dog "Uncle Olgar could wear you as a toupee, yes he could" Before answering Dagmar "oh no thank you. I need to keep in lean fighting trim" A smile

Emphasis on FIGHTING

"You need fuel to fight!" Well, she makes herself one. Mmm, ham

"Well, good point, but I didn't know if you heard...part of our grounding?"

"No driving?" Chomp. Chew.

"No driving?" She blinks "I think I'm the only old enough to learn to drive and every time I hint at it dad gets a twitch in his left eye. No no.." Siv says "Those of who took part in the unauthorized adventure and hunt are required to help the Pennons support staff as part of our punishment, and then represent Rivervale in whichever competitions suits us best as we wish. Mum's exact words! as chieftain! "

"Like... represent Rivenvale? Does that mean uniforms?"

"More like arms and armor" A grin "But I bet we could find a tabard or two, or maybe a sash"

"Fighting? Like, for glory?"

"Well, yeah... we get to hit sidhe all legal like!"

she blushes "And other trolls and such"

"Other trolls'd be fair. Besides, you see a sidhe you'd go all ga-ga and try to smooch'm insteada smash'm." A teasing grin.

"would not..." A blush "Sides, mum makes it a tradtion to knock sidhe off horses every year. I need to honor my heritage and at least give one or two a thrashing"

"Cool. I don't know about horses, though..."

"Oh, it's not just horses, melee... ground stomping! And archery...and I think maybe spearchucking though there is no log throwing."

"Damn... but I mean, I've been practicing melee stuff... is it gonna require the fake Flyswatter, you think?"

"I think they have real weapons but I don't know if they provide them, or you get to bring your own. It may vary from event to event. Keeps some sidhe lord with a sword that destroys tidal waves from breezing through without a lick of talent. I hear thye protocal your weapons if they have to and it's still not safe as they have lots of healers. Oh this will be fun"

"I can't believe mom's being so cool about this. I mean, I am trying not to smile TOO much in case she thinks she was too soft"

"Right, super solemn..."

"Like Jaymes on a sedative"

She snorts.

A grin "Anyway um.. . I got a list of the events ,and there are also music and crafts! Tove can try for both of those, right?"

"Oh, she should! I'll tell her."

"She probably already knows, but yes, make sure. It won't be easy mind, folks will be coming from all over the Duchy and maybe further to strut their stuff. Oh and there's a pie and cake contest where folks try slices of each and judge. Wouldn't you like to be the judge of that?"

"Yes! Tove should do that, too. She makes this three berry pie?"

"I wish her luck, Sally Mae and Kerri will be entering, and more boggans than you can shake a stick at."

"Yes, but Tove makes the best pies." Sky is blue, water wet.

"She makes good ones" Safest answer that's still true "I would have dropped by to tell her myself but it wasn't part of my route on Hearth's orders today and I was told she was recording anyway"

"Recording?"

"Music I guess... it's at her house so I don't know the details. " Siv says "Okay. I have to find a way to tell Symon and Zane about this. They have to support too."

"Zane's a fast runner..."

"Yeah, they might have something for that. Or at the least he can pass messages. IF we can keep him from flirting with pretty girls"

"Good luck with that..."

"Point" she concedes. Food put away or being used, she is now fussing over Odin.

Odin rumbles like an old motorcycle engine.

"He's a noisy fellow," She smiles, "Mackerel purrs too, but not this loudly. "

"Odin wants to be sure everybody knows how he feels about anything..."

"Well, you did name him after the Chief of the gods. Probably ideas in his head" A grin "I am really thrilled. Pennons! Oh gosh it'll be fun. I should probably go. See if you can pass on that news to Tove?"
