...and some time after that, the Chieftain requests Siv and Dagmar to sit with her and Frank for a meeting. Jaymes is invited to attend as well, if he wishes.

"...a meeting? Siv, this ain't gonna be good."

Siv has been flying high. In more ways than one, but when she gets the news she winces. "Aye. Best come clean. She's a Gwydion. She can tell when we're lying anyway."

Jaymes definitely is there

And so they gather on an afternoon around one of the long tables in the main hall of the Lodge. Brekke looks very serious, indeed.

"We didn't DO anything. You said Vali said we could go in..."

"Well, he said we could borrow his sports stuff, and he may not have known I had the combination" And then she heads out to face her mum.

Dagmar settles into a stoic expression, and follows.

Jaymes tells Brekke "Vali is trying to take the blame for this one. I..oh there they are"

The Chieftain waits for the girls to settle and sits opposite them. A nod to Jaymes, but she doesn't respond to him.

Frank has made sure those that want.... or need it... have coffee.

"What happened to you two could have resulted in far worse than it did. As it is, it called for our intervention, and our use of the Kestrel. I want to know how it happened...in detail."

Dag sits, folding her arms over her chest, jaw jutting out.

Brekke accepts her coffee from Frank with a grateful nod.

She notes Dagmar's stubborn expression, but doesn't comment on it.

Jaymes notices Dagmar's stance, "Dagmar, come on. It's not unreasonable for us to ask. We need to know."

Brekke looks to Frank and nods for him to sit next to her.

He does.

Siv says "Okay, well, Dagmar was playing ball a bit, practicing, and I joined in. We talked about teams and positions, and she asked where this sports equipment came from. I told her Vali had some extra stuff, and he'd said we could use it. After a few great throws from Dagmar, we headed over to the shed where I knew he kept some sports equipment."

"I was the one who mentioned checking it out" Siv adds, firm jaw

"Siv needed a mask if I was gonna pitch."

Brekke nods understanding so far. "The shed is locked."

"...is it not?"

"It is, or rather, was." She says "But I knew the combination and rather than bother Vali, I opened it up. I should point out I don't think Dagmar even realized I had unlocked it. "

All true.

Her brow furrows. "Vali gave you the combination?"

Siv says "Jaymes, she's not kidding about the mask if she pitches... She's got an arm like a cannon! If she tries out you're going to see for yourself."

"I didn't want to hurt her."

"And I didn't see her unlock it. She beat me there."

Jaymes smiles a bit proudly then goes back to stoic "It's good you didn't want to hurt her, Dagmar. Siv? Don't change the subject"

A nod. "Your attention to safety is appreciated...if inconsistent."

Siv says "Wasn't trying to. Just wow.. never seen a troll so young with that kind of arm." She clears and continues "Truth mother, I saw him use it once and memorized it. I had been given permission so I saw no harm in it at the time."

"You saw it -once- and memorized it?"

"In retrospect, I suppose years of living on a mostly communal ship may have made me a bit too free with the idea of sharing goods"

"Hm." Brekke frowns at that. "Yes...I will have to speak to Vali about clarity. Then what happened?"

"And yes, Da" She smiles, "Told you, I'm fairly bright"

"There was a box of magic stuff. It glowed, right? Or.. I mean, I felt it. You know?"

"How large a box?"

"Actually, the box was mostly NON magic stuff. But Dagmar sniffed out the one magic item fast"

"A -box- of magic stuff? In the -shed-?"

OOC: Is vali here?

Frank looks at Brekke. "I will speak with Vali."

Brekke nods, frowning.

"It was a globe thing, with a little wind up key. Like a music box."

BIC: "Box was big enough to put a chair in it. It did have sports gear, but when Dagmar showed the item and well we both got curious."

"So...a globe...with a key." A pause. "Which of you turned the key?"

She bites on her lip, tensing.

".... I did."
