Jaymes looks at Frank "There a history here?"

"Yes."

Jaymes nods "Okay. You'll tell me what I need to know"

"Just... don't say anything. Keep your mouth shut as much as possible." He glances at Brekke. "You'll do the talking?"

Jaymes grunts.

(Pause scene)

Brekke merely nods affirmatively. She doesn't look as though she's looking forward to this conversation.

As the Kestrel approaches. A cchimerical burst rocks them! For a moment, it's as if they're under attack!

Brekke has Speaker in hand and glares about the skies for the source of the attack.

Frank staggers, grabs a line to hold himself, and draws his blade.

Fireworks? It would appear that over the very harbor of Francis Scot Key's inppiration, despite the fact the 4th is over, lingering Chimera goes on in the form of fire works! ROcket's red glare heading this way

"Jaymes, the sails! Try to get us more height! Frank, man the rudder, watch my hand for direction!" With Frank at the stern and herself at the prow, she tries to pilot the Kestrel away from the oncoming bursts.

Frank staggers back, catching himself on the rails, and takes the helm.

And so the the grumps weave and sail about the chimerical booms, bursts, flares , glares and scares

THe Kestrel , wonderful ship that she is, flies through it all

When it looks as though the worst of the threat is past, Brekke pats the figurehead. "Thank you." she murmurs to it.

For a moment, the kestrel seems to , well, let brekke know it's still their ship, her ship especially, and it will not fail them. They swoop closer and enter the city's air..

"Brace yourselves...I would not be surprised if she has some sort of shield up."

Frank's face is impassive as they sail closer.

music plays …. "Oooo ooooyaa oooohyaa oooh ay Oooo ooooyaa oooohyaa oooh ay Oooo ooooyaa oooohyaa oooh ay, Baltimore knights, bow to the banner that is her hair. A white lock, on a field of ebony. Hide and seek, you can't make out a secrets chorus... but every one wants to take a peek...." all to the tune of Tarzan Boy, which is... of course, played by Baltimora

Frank gives Brekke a baffled look.

Brekke, to her credit, does not roll her eyes, but watches the approaching cathedral grimly.

As they approach, there's a flapping, a … a dark stallion with bat wings, like some strange gothic Pegasus, and upon it, a sidhe rider wearing Varich colors

Brekke keeps Speaker low by her side, and calls out, "I am Baroness Brekke of Rivervale in Bergen! We seek audience with Countess Akanthea!"

"Lower your ship there then please," He gestures to a location, "And I shall escort you. I am Baron Rostislav ap Varich, in service to the Countess"

Brekke nods and, with the others, works to guide the Kestrel to the indicated spot.

It lands and… the Baron escorts them, leaving his steed, "May one inquire as to the nature of this visit as we walk?"

"We believe our children have made taken accidental trip that ended them here. We are trying to find them." Brekke tries not to scowl too much.

"Ah, no wonder I sense a certain, tension. I can assure you, the arrival is as unexpected on this end as it was on yours"

As they make haste, in the distance ahead they can see Sir Vali vanishing into the hold.

She notes Vali's presence but focuses on Rostislav. "So they did arrive. We lost track of them at your borders." A slight lessening of tension. "Are they well? Unharmed?"

"A great glass bubble broke open, but it did not appear to cut them, and they were escorted by Thane Tiffany herself. Do not mistake me, the thane, for all her playful kith, is as dangerous as they come with gun and more, but in this case she seemed to be guarding them with warm affection."

The tension ebbs even further. "Escorted where?"

"Well, to the main hall, of course. No doubt before the Countess. This is her county. Were she at Talon I would , of course, be happy to see guests on her behalf, but I would not presume as she recently returned …"

Jaymes grunts "Just want my daughter"

"Yes, of course, Baron." Brekke nods, preoccupied. Then to Jaymes, "She is safe for now. As is Siv. Of this I have no doubt." Though the tension is returning.

A glance to Frank.

He looks -grim-.

The baron raises a brow, "Shall I announce you?"

Brekke nods, jaw tight.

(Off to Anywhere)

Some time later, a Viking ship with Kestrel markings lands gently having taken folks home.
