"Sure...toss here' Siv says getting a mit

Jaymes does so, clearly worried he's getting this wrong

"Are there two gloves?"

"Annd..." Kerri peers past him at the cast iron pan and its contents. "Hmmm...."

"Too hot?" Jaymes says

"Oh sure, thought you had one" Siv throws a glove to Dagmar easily.

"Nah, I found the ball... I don't have any stuff like this that's mine."

"Mmm....maybe." Kerri says. "But let's see what happens. Take it off the burner, and pop it in the oven gently so you won't spill it."

"Mmm." He glances up with gentleness in his eyes. "Some correspondence from our Dougal Baron friend regarding what he's learned. Which is, as yet, not bloody much."

Gently he tries, more rushed than he should maybe

"Well, we can change that. " Siv says "Vali said I can use his gear anytime."

"Cool. Maybe you could play softball?"

A bit does spill onto the floor of the oven, and the smell of burning berry juice is everywhere very quickly. Kerri says, "Well, we can clean that up when the oven cools. Now, let that bake for about eight minutes and then test it with a toothpick. It might have curdled a bit, but probably not."

"Depends on if I get to public school" Siv says, it's true her accuracy is good, "And I'd never slam a ball as far as you I bet."

"Great. Pre sluagh worthy" Jaymes sighs "The kid is going to hate this."

Brekke comes over to Frank and rests a hand on his shoulder as she looks at the papers. "That must frustrate him as much as it does you.'

"Well, Jaymes, cooking does take practice." Kerri nods. "Now, while it bakes, wash up the bowls and utensils, and put things away. I'll dry."

"More, I think. Dougal." Wryly.

"Of course. Hm." Brekke pauses at a thought.

"Maybe homeschool kids can sign up? WOrth asking."

"Sylvi probably wouldn't..."

"Thank you, Hearth" Jaymes says. clues seem to fly by him.

Kerri waits until his back is turned to roll her eyes before continuing, "I hear the house is coming close to being done."

And Siv smiles, "Might be fun. Sylvi might go cheerleader, which means she'd have to cheer US"

"Ha! She would!" Toss.

Catch! "Wow, good arm strength, but we knew that." Siv says and throws it back

She snags the ball - trollish arms have good reach. "Troll."

Jaymes smiles, "Actually, except for some furniture? It's..done. She doesn't know yet."

Catch "Well, yes, but your T is stronger than mine" Siv smiles getting further back to challenge her friend a bit

"I don't think so? Brekke and Jaymes are for sure stronger than me." She puts some oopmh behind the throw.

"Yes?" Frank is watching Brekke.

"You mentioning Dougal has made me thinking...Frank, what house is that sidhe youth who brought back Siv's hat? She did not mention to me, but maybe she told you?"

"Well, that's ..ooof" She catches "Felt that one, that's true, but not by much. And when you grow up, you might surpass them... in strength. I have to side with them when they're not looking for awesomeness, ma and da you know?"

Kerri smiles. "That's excellent news, Jaymes. You'll have to have a housewarming party."

"Well, I suppose. I don't have any idea how to do one of those," Jaymes says "If it was up to me I'd just tell folks it's open to visits but call first. I'm not a people person."

"I guess? But I'm just sayin', I saw them throwing logs at beltane."

"I can help a bit with planning," Kerri says. "I'm sure Tove could, too."

"Yeah, it's a good thing mom's on the side of the trees" Siv says proudly "Okay, trying a curveball but if I do it right it'll get ot your mit" She flings

Frank looks a bit sour and shakes his head. "Boy's name is Bancroft. She didn't mention a House."

"Did you meet him?" Brekke asks.

She watches the ball arc, and takes a step to the left to grab it.

Jaymes coughs "Tove's not exactly happy with me right now"

"Oh? Why not?" Kerri asks innocently.

"Briefly. He got me at the truck, had me come inside."

Dagmar might nearly lose the catch but manage to snag it on the second bound, Siv says "Sorry, not sure if that was you or me"

"Hm." Brekke nods, thoughtful.

"Why?"

"See, softball, they pitch under.... like.." She winds and lets fly.

Jaymes says "I...might have said something about her cooking. I thought itw as yours at first, said it wasn't up to your usual. it wasn't. Then i learn it was hers... and I tell her not everyone can cook like you or sally mae so it was okay. That's true too...but she's shot me daggers ever since" hapless
