"It's not so much need, as like... and I know how you feel about them though I think there's a story there you're not wanting to tell yet and I respect that. But some of the boys I've met are nice. It's weird though. I like attention, but neither ma nor dad were exactly natural flirts.Makes me wonder if I have a really flirting grandmother or somewhat?"

"Like, Symon's nice, but he's not a boy."

"Symon is nice" She agrees

"Just, you know, make sure you stay safe with them, I guess? Date ones you can beat up."

She pats her cutlass

"Or shank!"

"Or shank" She agrees with a smile

She rises and starts to clean her now empty dish and silverware

Since they are both still in the kitchen

Dag follows, and grabs the towel to dry.

The front door of the Lodge opens, and there are the sounds of footwear coming off, low voices.

"Siv?" Brekke calls.

"In the kitchen with Dagmar" She calls out "Be out in a sec"

They clean and dry "Thanks, Dagmar" Once it's done

When they do emerge from the kitchen, Brekke is in her seat by the 'Fire, mug of coffee in hand.

A shrug and a soft grunt of acknowledgment.

"Hey," she says as she comes out

She does follow Siv out.

Frank stands by her chair and is handing Brekke a sleek box.

She accepts the box from Frank, and nods to Siv. "Hello, Dagmar. All is well?"

"Hey. Yeah."

"is..is that the phone?" CUrious.

"Good." A nod to Dagmar, and then she looks to her daughter. "It is. Your father got it, but it is a new type of phone, and so we need some new rules."

"I thought the rules were I don't take the tracker off either and you don't spy where I am constantly?"her brow knits

"Yes. But...this phone can do more things than your old phone could. It can add new programs, aps, and sometimes those come with...viruses. And so I am going to insist you ask us before you add anything to it." She is still holding the phone.

"You can snapchat on it."

"Beyond that...Siv, we are giving you greater freedoms here. This phone is part of what allows that. But I need to insist you not consider it a private possession. It is not 'your phone'...it is a family tool for us to be able to find you, and so it must be available to us whenever we ask for it."

A puzzled glance at Dagmar's comment.

"Snapchat?" A look to Dagmar then a glance at her mom "Well, it IS yours. You two paid for it. I'm just lugging it about"

"Snapchat is how you talk to people."

"Good. We are agreed on that matter. And abuse of that privilege will also mean limits on your freedom. I do not want to have to do that."

"Everybody has it."

"Well, I don't. But everybody else."

To Dagmar, another puzzled glance.

"Well, if I get it I have to run it by them" She says to Dagmar "So maybe I won't have it ither. It's okay though"

"At...any rate... Siv, here." She offers out the open box with the shiny phone in it. "Your number and, ah, contacts are already in here."

"I won't put anything on it you don't allow...wait, can I add PHONE numbers on it? "

Frank is grimly stoic.

"You can." Brekke nods.

She looks it over "Wow, it's... so much fancier than that old thing. Mom, da, it's..lovely, and the color is like the sea! Did you two do that on purpose?" Pleased

"That was your father's selection." Brekke sounds pleased.

Frank shrugs.

"I am glad you are pleased with it. The GPS is already turned on."

Siv hugs her father "Thanks, Da! uhm, " She checks, are the boys numbers on this still?

The are, as is her call history.

Frank hugs her back and murmurs "Fishie" into her hair softly.

A snerk.

She blushes "Daaaad" But smiles as she hugs him then parts, "Okay. I'm sure the more I'll learn about these things, the more I'll wish I hadn't agreed so ready, but don't matter. I won't let you down. But maybe we can get advice from Dagmar and Vali on what might be useufl and safe on the phone? None of the three us are great at tech"

"Vali?" Frank looks at Brekke with a raised eyebrow.

"Hm. Perhaps Kerri. Dagmar, your input is welcome, but keep in mind that she will have to follow our rules."
