But I'm not sure it's weird for you to be dismayed in some ways. I 'm no telepath, but I can imagine you realize it leads to a reshuffling for her one way or another . Does she continue to live with her folks? Which college does she go to? Is she going to try to get a job ? Will she feel increased pressure from her relationship with Earl (Moving in, Oathing, etc)

I think that the library at ER is very telling. she may or may not want to serve there for long, but I think it's clear she wants a library in her life. One she has some control over
