"Like - they just need a good kick to remember themselves, right?"

Symon whispers to Qetz. "Seek for the kitchen. Use your keen scent... find meat. Red, raw if possible."

And Qetz is off

"Would that I could talk to spiders... several of them crawling up and down your spine would help, I think." He says regretfully of Beldame.

"If we got the mask off the bitch, that would probably help."

He nods. "With her head, if needs be." A ruthless whisper.

"Might... no one has done that. I think she sleeps with it on" Pudge continues

She grimaces and shakes her head. "In the Dreaming, that's permanent."

"Do you hear of aught that would be missed?"

"She's still kithain, and possibly also in Bedlam."

"If it is her, or her victims? I was held in like thrall. I would not see others left so." He says firmly.

"I..." She exhales, closing her eyes. "I'll do it, if there's no other way."

"But we can't... it can't be first. Death is anathema."

"No." He touches her arm. "We quest now to fix that which you broke for me. I spoke it so, if it must be, then I shall be the one."

A smile to her. "Tis what one expects of a whisperer, no?"

Earnestly, almost painfully so. "No."

"We will seek other ways." He says. Not quite agreeing.

"The Clurichaun sings, you say? Does she sing for her Mistress - and we shall find Her there?"

"I could go openly. Leave S-... leave him in stealth to act?"

Pudge looks relieved as there is talk of no killing in the dreaming "It's possible. She moves around"

Symon fills in the name where Dagmar falters. "Call me Seth. I would seek her. If I can get the mask, all may be ended without bloodshed. Perhaps."

He pauses, and...

And Symon hears it... he knows reptiles, and while not a snake... he hears the basilisk approaching before anyoen else does

Symon pulls back and hisses to Dagmar! "Ware the Basilisk! Look not into his eyes!"

She tenses, nodding, and dropping her eyes to the floor.

Pudge says "Won't hurt me or the others. It knows our sscents"

"So. Time to introduce me to the Goddess?"

The basilisk waddles in it looks like...well ,don't LOOK at it. And it starts to sniff

(How large of a creature?)

"I suppose," Pudge says sounding doubtful

About the size of a large dog

"First thing..." She closes her eyes and grabs Flyswatter.

Head tilt, listening.

Symon listens as well, his hearing is keen and all senses aside from sight as well.

He moves, letting his bare feet slap the floor.

Symon finds it... the creature seems to be positioning itself RIGHT in front of Dagmar and STARING at her

Waiting for her to open an eye

"Dead ahead!" He hisses. Possibly too quiet to be heard, but he tries.

And she strikes, trusting Symon's guidance.

The basilisk, obligingly, dies! Collapsing down into a bloody heap and it's good eye closed

Pudge fights the urge to cheer

"Oh my, I don't wish any harm to chimera normally but that one..."

"Too dangerous." A grim frown.

"S-Seth, you need to pull a fang or anything?"
