DOWN DOWN Dagmar slides... good thing ropes are not new to her. Between Sailor friends and training in rescue from sources official or otherwise she makes her way down the trod pit, and then it does indeed incline. She goes further, having been told how much rope was required and while it is close, it is enough. She lands in a deeply shadowed place she can only see so far in.

It appears to be on a large gym mattress of sorts, as she was told. There's a mere five foot drop from there sans rope, and she can see an archway with a sign but from here she can't quite read the sign.

Five feet. Good. She can jump that, if she needs. She holds out her arms to catch Symon.

He has easily been scuttling down with his tacky fingers and toes, but doesn't miss the opportunity to drop into her arms.

Symon squints at the sign.

She steals a kiss on the top of his head. before setting him down.

Sap.

Symon can see it where Dagmar can not... the writing says 'Welcome to your Spirit Home!"

with smaller print that says "Ring the bell and we will welcome you"

there is a small bell under the sign with a pull rope.

He does not ring the bell but lurks towards the door, on guard for traps or triggers.

More of an archway than a door, as Symon approaches it, it seems to illuminate. Not a trap, a part of the magic.

NOW Dagmar can read the sign. It's in gentle soothing colors, so welcoming!

She frowns.

She doesn't have her armor on, which... helps... with regards to stealth, but she's also a hair over ten feet tall, not counting her horns. She needs to duck a lot.

So she does.

Symon considers, and gestures questioning towards the bell even as he slides into the shadows?

She bites on her lip and shakes her head.

If stealth goes well, this COULD be done quickly.

A nod, and he heads in first, sticking to the shadows.

(Dex plus Stealth for both, Dagmar gets an extra die for Symon taking lead)

They slip into a picturesque area, some sort of garden, two figures are there. Neither has noticed them.. YET. One is an Eshu, pacing rather than working, haunted eyes on a handsome face. The other is a pooka childling, now doubt Goldy, she IS working in the soil, planting crops and drawing symbols of serenity in the dirt as she does so.

Symon draws back, not wanting to attract the pooka's attention. He watches the Eshu for now, and keeps looking. Get an idea of everyone first, then plan.

She nods, though there's a tense look on her face. Goldy is not Connor, of course.

No, Connor doesn't have that empty sort of happiness, Connor's joy is full and radiant with thought!

And oh, that thought sparks a low current of anger in the troll.

Symon pulls a coin from his pocket, and turning it this way and that, tries to catch the Eshu's attention with a flicker reflection of light.

If the Pooka looks up (though she seems pretty intent on the garden) it is instantly covered.

A brow furrow as she watches the pooka. Dagmar has thought of something.

Symon looks past the two, his night vision making the difference in this shadowed sanctuary where even the light seems to be dominated... pardon, guided. From the Garden there are two hallways, no doors to obscure, apparently privacy is not the goal. One hallway has more light than the other. The well lit hallway has echoes of a song the lyrics speak of happiness and joy, but it seems a touch formulaic

The darker hallway has different sounds... sweeping?

((Does the Eshu notice Symon's signal?))

The Eshu pacing suddenly notices the signal...and turns his eyes that way

A pale face in the shadows, and a slender finger raised to cover grey lips. Shh, the signal says. Then, the finger crooks. Come?

Dagmar is trying to make herself small.

"I can't stand it here anymore" The Eshu says to the pooka, who looks up with large eyes but the Eshu has position his body to blow view "I am going for a walk."

"That's not a joy joy spirit, Majestix," The pooka tuts, "The goddess will be sad, with great tears, and you'll end up crying too"

Her nostrils flare and her lip curls in a silent snarl.

"Maybe I should stop you" Goldy muses "hold you with her love."

For a moment the Eshu looks spooked, but then says "Your circle pattern around the cabbage seems a bit sloppy, is that worthy of HER?"

She backs up a bit - assuming Symon wants to speak to the eshu around the corner, where they will be less observed.

The Eshu's attempt to con the child for a reason for his departure from her sight...fails

And Goldy looks at the 'circle' only for a moment, then says "I think your pattern is off, Majestix, but I can help" the little girls' eyes light up with an eagerness to please someone, but that someone is not the eshu, "We all need to pull our weight" A summer magic flows, and a eurphoria starts to engulf the Eshu, he looks at the garden in a new way.

"A wonderful garden, marvelous... yes" And he bends down to tend it, and planting finding joy in the labor again thanks to Goldy's help.

Goldy hums the tune 'Happy Workers' from the movie Toys, and the Eshu joins her in perfect sync
