He snickers a little.

And then grins up at Dagmar. "They're like... sprites, or goblins. Like when we became changelings, they just stayed as house spirits. Pretty rare these days, but I know one."

"Oh you... you don't know" A surprised look

He blinks, and sips at his tea. Eyes on Adelaide, expectantly.

"The ones I've met, claiming to be Dokkaebi... Symon, they're kithain. Mortal side to their fae"

"And they're far more in tune with the Dreaming than any Hsien"

His eyes WIDEN. "No shit?" Then he coughs a little and hides it behind a sip. "Really?" He corrects.

She frowns "well, I WAS sure, now i wonder if I'm being played for a fool by some kithain who are pretending. But I can tell you the Korean neighborhood has at least two kithain ..gallian I guess, claiming that name. The ones you know are chimera? Amazing" Thoughtful

He nods and sips. "Maybe they're something different. Or related."

"Like a talking cat chimera might be an old echo from what may have turned into a pooka once."

"Well, tread carefully, but your own heritage may open more doors for you than anything else. They do speak a great deal IN Korean. "

"Well, I'm probably no help."

"Trolls are like insurance. You don't need them that often, but when you do? when disaster does hit, you really do." The young countess says "Besides, you're a Gwydion yes? A lie is a lie, even if it's in a language you don't understand."

He looks up at Dagmar, and then back to Adelaide. "I'd not have gotten this far without Dagmar. She's not insurance she's... a force of nature." A small gummy grin.

She sort of shrugs and rubs the back of her neck.

"Well, wouldn't have done it without Sy, neither. So. We're a good team."

"Good . hopefully this will go smoothly. Now before I name the Dokkaebi. I know, or thought i knew..what's this about Dry tears?"

"Oh. Well, it has a new name now, and a new liege..." He shares with her, omitting the majority of his involvement, the story of what went down.

"So now Earthrunes's Sparrow is a Baroness in deed and not just in name."

She raises a brow "The Liams have been making great strides of late in multiple areas."

A shrug, non-committal.

"I hope there were no Eiluned aiding the Balor? that you know of anyway?"

He thinks back... and assuming his memory agrees, shakes his head. "None that I saw. The most annoying bit was a pigeon pooka. But take care on the trods if you travel. There's displayed Balor roaming around the silver."

"And that one I'd share for free."

"well, if you're hoping to make me feel a bit competitive it's working" She admits "Okay, before I ask about Ardent harbor...I feel you should know that in addtion to the two Dokkaebi I know of, or thought i knew of, there has been something of a prodigal problem near that neighborhood. In this case, a suspected vampire"

Frown!

"Problem in that they don't want it around their part of town, or problem in that it's an active threat?" ... "In as much as a vampire could ever not be a threat." He allows.

"If it's been feeding on fae or gallian intentionally, I haven't heard word yet" she frowns "But there have been signs that this oen is . sloppy. A figure nearly drained of blood taken to a hospital... and while vampire hunters don't hunt our kind normally, one never knows"

"Mortals can freak out."

"I know about as much about them as I do about Hsien - which is to say, not a lot. Sunlight is a given, and that they can sometimes have the ability to mesmerize people... and not to make deals with them, because they can get addicted to the taste of our blood. Or the glamour in it? Something like that."

"Bet decapitation works."

"The rest is just the same mythology that may or may not be true - though I would BET my last dross that they don't sparkle."

A grin up at Dagmar. A good beheading always cheers him up.

"I've been told Fire works better than holy objects ...or at least more consistently"

"Fire works on most things. It's handy that way."

"Vampire? Fire. Pooka? Fire. Pesky mortal? Fire!"

The Eiluned actually giggles a bit. Touch of a dark humor there

"Point."

"Anyway.. just giving you a heads up . Now... about Ardent Harbor? what's Jude' the jailor' up to these days?"

His amusement fades. A glance to Dagmar, and he gives a more scant outline of what they saw there. No mention is made of what was behind the Doors. "His doll brings out things even I found unpleasant. And that's all I'll say on that."

"I don't understand why the Count tolerates him" She says "What does that mannikin have on him?"

Grunt.

"If you find out, there's probably a line of people eager to know."

"That would diminish the value of the knowledge TOO much to share it with so many" She laments then says "Well, you'vee been more than forth coming . You want Miss Pock-Sun. Who apparently also goes by Pocky Sue."

"Does she happen to frequent a specific shop?" Knowing well that a 'knick nack shop' in any sort of Asian town could be one of hundreds.. or at least dozens.

"I can't pronounce the name of it.. its entirely Korean.. as if she doesn't want more business. Which might be the case, but yes, it's on the corner of..." And she gives the address "A bit out of view."

He listens closely, and nods. "Thanks for the tea, and the intel. It was... nice." He says, somewhat surprised himself that he had enjoyed the banter. Not that he should start being gregarious or anything, but maybe he could get out... a LITTLE more.

"My pleasure. thank you for not judging me just on my House. Some do you know?" A motion "I'll have the driver take you there.. or a block from there if you want some distance."

"Ooo, hey, you think we could find some of that yucky-gang soup when we're out? Or short ribs..."

"Sounds good to me." Symon nods... he knows well what it is to be judged. Though in his case, they're probably right.

"Oh... I bet the restaurants are closed to waegukin, uh, foreigners - but I could get us in maybe." Thinking of kimchi!
