"I'll give you a fist bump myself" the Rover says "Once I get up there... Give me a sec.. Gonna inch worm it" Heave up.. heave up.. finally a hand on the trail

She watches the hand, cautious.

he touches the silver without pain, or trouble, and up he goes and flops onto it like a beached whale.

His legs wounded, but at least he's s safe here. "i'm in your debt"

"You did all the climbing... hold on, I should have a cookie."

She unshoulders her pack and digs. "How'd you fall?"

"Got pushed off.." he grunts "And down . Cookie? I confess, i've been a good boy but ..normally it's little old lady boggans who offer me those"

"Well, if you know Olgar, you should know Kerri."

"Okay, yeah, I got 3." She offers out a cookie. It looks delicious. Oatmeal and spice.

He watches. A sigh. That might have been handy later, but Dagmar would never hold out. And it IS a Rover after all.

"Thanks. " he takes it and munches "Hey, you're dagmar.. It's me, Hastien"

A raised brow under dangling hair curtain. Suspicion.

"Oh, hey. Yeah." A bit of purple. "Hey."

And he looks surprised "I didn't recognize you. There's a giant" Nodding as his wounds heal up

"Well, you were kinda busy. You heading East? There's a pack of Balor on the trod."

“Three Sidhe, redcap, and an ogre.” He whispers, leaning in to be heard and holding up fingers as well if his voice fails.

"Shit." he frowns "I may go with you for a bit if you'll have me.. or is this a quest thing?"

A nod to Symon

He points. They went that way. WE are going this way.

"We have stuff to do - I didn't want to risk that for a fight."

"But figure you should know. They're feeling poorly since they had their asses kicked in Texas."

"Heh.Damn right" a grin "I could drink balor tears in my coffee and smile"

He watches the exchange, and slides closer so that Hastien can hear him. If he leans a bit.

"I'm sure you could rest up at the Lodge if you needed it." She pulls her pack back on.

"I might..and Dame Dagmar... good to see you again. Kicking ass for justice just like you dreamed. respect" A nod

Another blush and a shrug.

A scowl. He's not straining his voice for this... lothario.

And Hastien does lean

Towards Symon "Apologies, didn't mean to be rude"

"The Balor are muttering about "dealing" with Rovers. And that they lost not only the holding, but an outpost as well. They mentioned a Countess... or a place? Named Sharpshine. Pass the message to Olgar when you get off the silver. ...and any other Rovers you see, I guess."

A scowl of his own, nodding "The Sharpshine? Of course they'd fall back to her. Much obliged.. and forgive me for being an ass. I don't remember your name" he offers a hand "But I'll share what i remember with the Knights of the Way"

He eyes the hand. For a moment wondering what he's supposed to do with it. It's empty. Then realizes and gives it a shake A bit of a grimy, cool shake, but there it is.

"Symon's my quest partner. Smartest guy in the barony."

Fair grip "That's high praise" nod, shake "Symon, Dame Dagmar, Hastien of the Rovers is in your debt. Whatever you're doing, I wish you safe journey.." A grin "But not so safe you get bored"

Snerk. "Thanks."

A smirk, and pulls his hand back to give a small wave.

And he makes his own way slow and easy.. the Dreaming will heal him a bit faster than nromal.. and the cookie in him did a good chunk of healing

A soft sigh. And walking.

He gives a glance over at Dagmar... but doesn't comment. Onwards.

"You wonder just what will be at the end of all this?"

And suddenly... the trod turns into a giant slide....and their shooting down the mountain skipping the boring desert parts

"Shit!" she exclaims.

He reaches for something solid - probably Dagmar - and keeps an eye out for anything they can grab, snag, etc along the way.

Any cursing he does is lost.

On the underside of their trod is a nice stairway also of silver so you can climb back up with effort... but they're not on that part no sirr ree bob

They woosh past desert scapes of strange casinos near oasiss, Gentes playing parchissi, and THREE humped camels smoking cigarettes..

Dag does attempt to slow the slide, if possible.

Symon tries to use his sticky fingers and toes... hopefully without losing skin.

That she can do... there are edges... and Symon is clutching and... WHHHERT
