Our two heroes travel on the trod seems to be over plains and praries... but of a sort populated by dreams of centuars and deer miliitas looking for the murderer of Bambi's mother.

No huntsmen here!

Dagmar - hunting wildlife? never!

She saved the white hart.

Indeed, one deer whispers to others, and their hostlity towards two leggers dims. One good deed remembered as far as they see it

They also see jackaoloopes shooting cross the plains. The lucky ones may transform into Wompltinglers.. true changleing souls, if you believe that nonesense that they were once Chimera

"This is wonderful."

He watches over the landscape. Far from his beloved basement hole lit by electronic screens, but as these things go, he admits, it's not that bad.

Ooo look, buffalo ...with wings.

Snort-grin.

Symon may not appreciate the lovely landscape, but Dagmar's amusement cheers him as well, so he has a bit of a lift in his shuffling steps too.

The scenery shifts slowly as Mountains in view get closer....

One Mountain calls out in a slightly slurred voice "ADDDRIAAAAANNNE"

Indicating they are approaching the Rocky Mountains

Finally getting among the mountains... a silver path that goes up high, they hear a voice

and not a punny one

A man dangles on a lower ledge...a troll it looks like. Holding on by one hand to the cliff about 20 feet below. He's climbing... slowly. Both legs blooded by numerous wounds.

Frown.

He's chanting "Over hill, over dale, we will hit the silver trail.. as those rovers.. keep roving, along... double march and about, you can hear the people shout, those Rovers keep rolling along...it's high hi hee, we're walking artilery, protecting paths all day long...like a dumbass, I got smashed, fell off the silver path... and now I'm making up this bullshit..song" Grunt

He leans over a bit, watching. A concerned glance to Dagmar.

"....Hunh."

A large stone scorpian, about the size of a timberwolf, is scrambling up

He whispers, "He's doing it. Slow, but he should make it. We can wait to make sure he gets back on the path. If he's legit, the path with let him on..." Then narrows his eyes. "Nothing says we can't stop OTHER stuff from messing with guys off the path, does it?"

"Like that scorpion? Yeah."

"You've got the voice... give him a warning?" Meanwhile, Symon searches the ground for anything that could be thrown - rocks, etc.

"Hey, Rover!"

He might have wee spindly arms, but keen eyes.

Well, there are some rocks about the size of a baseball

"Hey.. seriouslY ?I sing badly and THAT gets people?" He looks up "Careful neighbor... don't be a hero and try to get to me. you stay on the path you hear me?"

Didn't Dagmar play baseball? Something like that. Sports is sports, right? Wait, he remembers... something about...

"Hsssst. Dagmar. Shotput!"

"Yeah, I know. Olgar'd kick my ass if I went off."

"Shotput? Yeah?"

He starts with the baseball-sized ones, rolling them towards Dagmar, and looks for any bigger, just in case.

"How's your aim?"

"Oh, I got it. My aim's okay."

A thin smile.

She picks up a rock and eyes the scorpion.

A moment to gauge, and then she hurls the rock at the scorpion.

"You know Olgar? I got trained by that mean piece of rough trod.. and.."

WHAM SKREE

dead center of scorpian face.. and the stone even cracks a bit as it tumbles to it's doom...

Symon looks a bit disappointed as it tumbles. That stinger was cool looking.

"NICE" The blue guy says and gains closer to the trod
