Soon enough, a vehicle swerves up onto the sidewalk before them, well, part way, the mole pooka blinks and looks out the window "State Unfairgrounds?"

Symon gives the Pooka a sideeye for a moment - wondering if his vision is safe to drive, but figures it's not up to him to judge. They're insured, right? Probably? Into the car he goes.

When both get in, apparently non confirming, IS confirming, and the mole pooka digs into the gas pedal and off they go

Backpack clutched on his lap, riding quietly. Assuming that the pooka isn’t blasting the radio.

"Morth's a good guy. Hopefully he can help out. Bet there'll be a lot of fighting at the start, you know?"

Nope, the mole man is a actually quiet for a pooka

"I mean, you saw the size of that hammer."

“Better him that me.” But he nods. “Sparrows gonna have a lot of work to do. Plenty to keep a knight busy.”

And they approach the State Fairgrounds

The mole says "Ching Ching or bling bling?"

Symon digs out some cash. “This work?”

"Uh..." She gets her wallet.

To Dagmar, “might need the uh, bling, later.”

She nods.

The Mole takes the cash "May you get the worm before it gets you"

“As the worm turns.” He responds. Sliding out and waiting for Dagmar as he peers over the gutted out fairground.

"So... trod."

And there they go... from here, there are dangerous prodigals, junkies, and street gangs. Oh...a trod or two it's said.

He sticks close to Dagmar.

She walks.

A hand in his pocket, playing with his little folding knife. Click... click! Click..., click!

And someone in the shadows is following them.

Dagmar moves closer to Symon, looming.

Two figures now.. closing.. a third closing in

"Back off. Now."

"Heh.."others start laughing too "heh heh heh"

The three figures have objects in hand. One's got a short pipe. Another has a knife. And the last slides out a wrench.

Dagmar sees loose boards, a glass bottle, and ...some rebar

"Okay then." She grabs the rebar.

"Pretty tough for a jailbait bitch" One guy eyes her.

"Three to two.. don't look good for you" The other eyes Symon

Grunt. "So you say."

Dagmar keeps an eye on them - the Code stays her hand from making the first move, but the rebar feels comfortable enough in her hands. "You could head off, do something else. We'll be on our way."

"How about you empty your pockets both of you, then if we like what was in em.. MAYBE we let you go?"

"yeah"

"Nah."

Symon pulls what he has out of his pocket, and shows them - a small but sharp knife. “You want what’s in my pocket? I’ll let you have it.”

Click click. Click click. Deftly opening and closing one-handed, a motion he’s practiced. In front of the mirror. Pretending it looked cool. You feel lucky, punk? You talking to me?

"Guy's a freak..." Oen comments

"Don't like the crazy eyes..."

and they coff "Little shit's probably got a VD or something..."But they back away"Fine.. get your broke asses out of our turf"

He adds his best attempt at a friendly grin. Perhaps mildly psychotic. “We were just leaving.”

Grunt.

Dagmar may notice that while he is facing the punks with a brave front, he keeps her squarely at his back.

And even turns, watching them, trusting Dagmar to lead without really looking the direction they are going, as he keeps an eye on the guys.

Dagmar keeps the rebar in hand, and walks once more.
