Roaches flee at the sudden arrival of two people in their domain

"We need to go to the docks. Stick close to me."

One roach pauses, as if considering Dagmar's request

"Not you." Glower.

It scuries off

Bilbo snorts at the roach, proof even cuteness has its tolerence limits

"Aw." Symon watches it go. "Poor lil' guy." Joking... probably.

"More your speed than furballs?"

A knock on the door "Hey, hurry up in there? I gotta take a shit"

Grunt. She jerks her chin towards teh door and starts out, expecting Symon to follow.

They know what a Detroit Accent sounds like now

Symon lurks out in the lee of the troll, his favored spot.

The two come out, an irritated slob of a man sees them, and shakes his head "Making out in the bathroom.. damn kids these days got no class' and in he goes

Looks like this is on the ugly side of Detroit... or maybe it's just detroit? Part of the sprawl that's been rapidly deserted and recovery comes slow here.

Dagmar doesn't look particuarly phased.

Sam is tall, broad-shouldered, with a surly set to her chin. Big girl, scrawny friend.

Nope. Big women of color not that rare in detroit, particularly surly ones

But still, a neighborhood that isn't ideal for anyone

They break eye contact first and move the fuck on. Something in her makes them think she's packing. She is, it's a halbred not a gun, and she'd have to invoke the wyrd, but that doesn't change the fact their instincts are good

Symon and she find a shadier spot. Playing more to his advantage than hers perhaps, but her menace compensates for that

"So far, so good." He whispers, keeping an eye out.

Three miles is a bit much to ask of Symon. He gestures at his phone, questioning. "Knight's Heart?"

"I was thinking we didn't want a bus... I forgot Knight's Heart. Yes."

"Smart."

A thin smile, and he enters the request.

And they call it and for a moment and..did the number just switch? Looks like there is a pick up near them

"Cool. Three city miles is a lot."

And a taxi pulls up, Night's Hart taxi

Symon reaches for the door, then pauses. Is the name written on the cab?

"That.."

"you want in or what?" the driver rasps in a whisper

"Will you take us where we want to go, without any shenanigans?"
