The docks await

It's a walk, of course.

The musty, mildew and mold and damp and fish smell of the docks is quite pleasant.

Of course. the dreaming seems a bit stronger, as 'ease on down, ease on down the road' from the Wiz seems to play in the air... as Toto, Dorothy, and the Scarecrow... err Bilbo, Dagmar, and Symon approach the dock they were told about.

They notice a troll working the docks, hauling a boat's anchor up by hand

Dag smiles a little, seeing a kithmate.

The troll sees them, and grunts ("Good day')

Symon continues onward, looking for the promised dock that shimmers with glamour.

1..2..3...4...

Upnod, grunt. ("Hello, friend.")

the kindess seems to create a warm response in the troll on the dock, who grows LESS stoic, which is as good as a smile "Know your way around?"

She shakes her head.

Symon sees it, glittering

A slight tug at Dagmar's sleeve, and he indicates their destination. The sluagh is not rude, but also is not there to make new friends...

"Trod over there" The troll puts the anchor away "If you're staying in the city, Liam lands over there" He points "Balor lands over there"

Though at the mention of Balor lands, he looks to see if they indicated the way they came from, where they left the driver.

He did

Looks like that area has been taken by the Balor? Maybe Olgar didn't know?

"Damn. Thanks."

"We aren't staying." Her mouth wrinkles. ("You okay here, bro?")

Symon looks over the troll for any badge or sign of house affiliation.

The troll looks at the heavy chain with an anchor attached in his hand. One a troll could swing like a flail into a Thallian's skull, then a nod ("I'm good")

Something about this guy makes Symon think he's actively on the look out to help people. No friend of the Balor though

A quiet nod - accepting his assertation, but showing solidarity.

"Snakes on that trod?"

He edges closer, close enough for the Troll to hear his whisper (and thus into anchor range, alas) and whispers, "Your local snakes have Bogies on the payroll. Just FYI."

"Trod is clear on this end but can't be sure it's clear. Snakes frequent. We do what we can to guide folks away from them.." then he turns and strains to hear Symon, when he does, he frowns and whispers "Where? in what manner?" then he seems to realize he's talking to a sluagh and says "Please" manners matter

It should be noted this guy is totally honest if one trusts their boon

He offers over the note about snakes and the cut. "We left one tapped out in a taxi branded 'Night's Hart', about a half a mile back. Been praying on travelers. He's out for the count, but this is your territory - in case you want to 'check in' on the guy."

Of the dross and cash, Symon makes no mention.

A nod as he takes the note, "So they're steaing job's from Knight's Heart. Mmm" A frown "thank you. Youve done the people of this place a service. " A beat "Do you require escort on the trods?"

He glances back towards Dagmar, then asks, "Do we?"

Dagmar stands up a bit straighter. "I think I can handle it, yeah?"

"Friend of ours is in Knight's Heart management. Not a fan of poachers."

A nod. "Bogie shouldn't be hurting anyone anytime soon, though."

"Here" the troll hands something over, a coin? it is made of chimerical steel "It maybe of use"

He lets Dagmar take it. "Thanks."

"Thanks." She closes her fist around it.

And the troll gets out of their way with a nod and grunt ("Welcome")

"Okay, we gotta move fast, Sy." She heads to the fourth dock.

He follows.

She inhales, and then bellows/sings "Born and Raised in South Detroit!" Air-guitar flourish!

And the trod opens and claims them

It is as Olgar said. They're on the Silver and .. on top of it, have Journey as their travel music

A Journey Journey.

And, when Dagmar looks down at the Coin, she notices imprinted on it, a troll style shield overlaid protectively over a road

Symon shakes his head at her air guitar, but he hides a small smile.

"Hey - rovers." She shows Symon.

He nods. "So that guy is a rover, huh?"

"Makes sense, doesn't it?"
