"Rovers and Balor don't get along much, from what I've gathered."

"They both claim to patrol trods. And I guess they do. But each to their own ends." A shrug.

"Mmph."

"Don't trust the one."

"I don't trust anyone." He says, grinning as she hears the mild lie.

"Almost."

the trod has folks aproaching heading towards Detroit

And towards them

A little smile at the "almost."

Then - tension, and she gets between Symon and the stangers.

'Casual' but on alert - wariness without hostility.

Symon starts moving onward, away from the strangers.

A small group of rabbit pooka passes past them , they have light peach colored robes and wraps, and they've shaved their heads save for the ears. They bang tamborines and shake rattles as they chant "Hare krishna! Hare krishna! Hare krishna!"

One pooka's hand slides near Dagmar's dross pouch, or starts to

A warning 'hmph' and a stern look.

and the hand with the stink bomb it was ready to plant , goes back. "hare Krishna!" the would be prankster says with a rueful grin. And they move on behaving

A gentle headshake. Pooka.

Symon catches one of their eyes, and flips them a piece of dross from the Thallain's hoard. "Good hunting. But choose your targets better." He whispers.

"May the blessings of El-ahrairah be on you. Hare Krishna" And off they go

taking the bit of dross

And Bilbo gives Symon an approving look

which makes Symon feel..good?

"Shut up, hobbit." He mutters.

wag and on they walk

She checks her notes. "And we go north at the fork - sounds like south route has stuff to explore later..."

"Maybe on the way back?"

A nod. "Yeah."

They come to the fork.. to the south there's a sense of NICE... and polite

Northward, ho!

North seems to have stormy weather in the distance

of course, they head north

If rain actually hits, Symon offers Dagmar his umbrella. Of course, knowing Ann Marie, it looks more like this...

"Mmph."

"Ann Marie means well." She observes.

"It keeps the rain off..." He shrugs helplessly.

And it does,for it drizzles on the trod even though they are not on the storm proper

"Gerd would love this, actually."

An amused huff. "Figures."

Bilbo shakes his coat, getting them both wet even under the umbrella

"Oof. Thanks."

They move along northward, it curves and the Dreaming takes on a surreal tone as it often does ... it's almost as if they were walking on a silver sidewalk with great lakes shaped puddles! they can even splash their feet if they like

They loop west, and as they walk, they see a gong by the side of the trod ... it has a squid like design on it and is in arm's reach

"Do NOT wake the kraken"

but it's got a little gongbanger mallet next to it...

Luckily, Dagmar is NOT a pooka.

Or Zara.
