"Eh, he would be kinda tolerable shaved. Almost a proper nightmare."

"A few more trods, and if I'm not being paranoid and over-imaginative, we hand him over to Edrit and go home."

"Anything else worth checking out along the way? Freeholds, haunted mansions, uh..." Something occurs to him, "Are any of the schools you considered out this way? Or is Minnesota too remote?"

"I had an offer, but.. no. Too far from home."

"I get it. I want to get my own space... but I still don't really want to -leave-, you know? More like, the Apartments, if it wasn't so..." A vague gesture of distaste. "Well, not for me, I'll just say. I think a mortal apartment or dorm might suit me better. Uh, Dorm if I could swing a private room."

a soft voice from a wingback chair whispers "What are you two doing here? are you lost?"

Symon eyes the red bull and tea concoction that was set on the bar. "What is that supposed to be?"

"Or - Rutgers has these suites? Like... shared kitchen/living area, but your own bedrooms and baths..." She looks towards the whisper.

"I.. um.. saw those on the website."

A slim childling head pops out from the wingback, one they know. Lily

"Lily, hey!" A grin, even by non-troll standards.

Symon looks thoughtful, then - surprise! "Lily!" Not displeased.

"Hello, Dame Dagmar, hello Symon." She bounces a bit on the wingback "I found the best chair"

"So I see." Symon admires the shape of the chair. "Not ergonomic for computer use, but I see the appeal."

"Seems good for staying hidden."

"yes. I..." she makes a face , "Symon, you have a growth. A rather hairy pustule"

"Oh" She realizes "yes, it almost out cutes connor" her eyes narrow "that cannot be allowed. So it is best to be rid of it." A nod "Where are you taking .. it?"

"Childling Countess? You know her?"

"I thought you said it was some older grump." Uncertain as he recalls.

"The one in Tijuana is Ellie. She's rather nice, puts up wwith Ahpuch and he's.. well, he's SUCH a boy, but she's not in charge yet, not of the whole thing. THe one near Minnesota rules alone, with only advisors... and those who hope to use her as a ..." then Lily stops "Oh. I have knowledge you do not." Delighted she claps her hands softly and looks VERY pleased.

"I said I wasn't sure who was in charge.."

Brow furrow. "Is this when I get out of the way and tea happens?"

"you may join us for tea, Dame. This isn't high tea, it's busieness. "

"No, stay." He nods to Dagmar. "From what Vali told Dags, the beaumayn in Duluth is an older grump. A baron, not a count, and not a childling..."

Symon recognizes the difference. Non Sluagh often end up paying through the nose

"But... a childling with that high a title? Ransom..."

Symon frowns. "I'm surprised Vali didn't know this. I mean, for a troll, he's pretty up to date on stuff, at least his house business. Do you think he left intel out?" A glance to Dagmar.

"The baron is under the Countess, she rules the Twin Ports, he but a small sliver of it. And ... what do Iget out of this for telling you all this?"

"And that means the county is split between two duchies, right?"

Lily motions to the gloves "Tea , please. " And she returns to the wingback to await their currying her favor for lore she possesses.

"Right. That lottery thing he mentioned."

Lily makes a face as it appears they know more than she thought they did, that lowers the value of her own knowledge. "Sir Vali is problematic."
