"Hm. You get the pig and veil my compound, I will dose the pig and drop it off in daylight to our shadowed friend. I'll return the next day ..... wait. The pig will be lethargic if not passed out or even away by the time our shadowed friend awakes if the timing is off."

"Am I being unfair to think you'll gain their respect if you butcher your own animal for me?"

"Not at all."

She chuckles at the notionn

"The timing, Dearest." he reminds her "I do not mind risking the latest possible drop-off....."

"Sorry, I'll get the timing right" She assures

"And, I'll throw a bit of Aphrodisia on it. When he sees the pig, whther it's awake or not, he'll really want it"

"That poor pig." he whispers "Just as well it will be drugged."

"Good point. Unless he makes it a vampire pig. Porkula"

"And that is how the DeBuke empire ends....."

A laugh "Okay, I confess, shootingg a vampire has me revved, but I better call and arrange that pig"

"Ah, that explains you leaving me like this." a thin lipped smile, like a knife; he doesn't mind, really. "Make the call and then let's look at our just recompensense."

"Can't wait.. food's on it's way" Annd she scoots to make that call

He rasps a laugh, and when the knock at the door comes he answers it.... after carefully checking the peephole and ensuring he's properly if subtlely armed first.

All seems legit. Looks like a very fine prime rib was ordered

He takes the cart, tips very very well, and sets things up while CC freshes up or whatever she's doing.

CC comes back out of the bathroom lookin clean and "You got the prime rib. I got the pig ready for pick up"

"We have time to eat first?" he murmurs hopefully.

She grins "Yes. I wouldn't dangle a prime rib under your nose and have you chase raw bacon"

He hisses a laugh and pops the cork on the champagne, then winces.

"Honey? " Noting the wince she moves to him "Did that heavy lifting hurt you?" Alarm fills her

"Oh, I expect I might benefit from a series of massages but... the cork was loud."

"Oh" She laughs "Got me all worried. I'll massage you... even more lovingly than I will those gold bars"

He chuckles, amused, as he pours and serves. His original, rotund body moves efficiently around the cart and table.

(Spell wore off awhile back. Sorry, thought I mentioned that earlier)

"Here we are." He holds her chair for her at the two seat table in a room that's -almost- like home for them. "And look at the view." he indicates all the gold and treasure.

She smiles and takes a seat then eyes the gold bars "You know, it maybe tawdry, but gold fever has it's place amid the dreaming"

Before he sits, he brings one of the bars to the table to join them. He puts a glass of champagne in front of it, and one for each of them.

He also snaps the radio on to their favorite station, soft and low.

Then he seats himself with a teasing smile. "There. Now all of us are together." still, the Treasures shimmer over there. He serves her plate, then his.

"A threesome? How bold. I admit, blonds have their appeal" she strokes the goldbar

That makes him laugh.

She leans over and kisses him , briefly, "Thank you. It's not every man who would risk his neck for a date"

"Oh Dearest, you know better. Most men would gladly, recklessly, blindly risk more than that. However, I have no wish to do so for anyone else; the pig will have to stand in."

It's her turn to laugh "Reasonable, ever reasonable"

"One of us must be." smirks the visionary rebel.

"Pushing it, buddy" she waves her fork before stabbing a slice of prime rib with it

He stabs one back, and soon it's a bloodbath; rare juices flooding the plates, asparagus butchered, a Caesar salad pierced (too close? too soon?) potato raked up and plowed down with fixings......

Oh the humanity
