"I'll send the advice" he says "I suspect Rovers may also send a few... this can flood trods too sometimes"

She nods. "They know where we are."

"I'll make the call" He moves off only to have Diego show up

Diego says "I've been collecting reports on supplies of the various holdings... and I think I've got a guy who can provide materials for sandbags"

"Good, let's get that going."

"on it. We have a hundred blankets ready to distrubute, I thought we'd work through father V. Folks always turn to faith at times like this"

She nods. "Good idea."

"Constance is making copies of all my listings and is ready to do more" Diego looks over more "Duff has offered to help with his resources. He has a resource on high ground if it comes to that"

"On high ground?"

"Well, relatively high for the city" he shrugs

Jess shrugs; she doesn't understand but isn't spending time on it. "Ok."

""Oh sorry, in this case the resource is a warehouse" A shake of his horns "Been at it awhile"

"You ok?" genuine concern.

"I'll be fine. " the satyr smiles "Stamina even old goats have. I'm on coffee instead of wine"

"Must be a shock to the system." she teases lightly.

That actually gets a laugh out of him "My poor liver is now out of it's natural habitat"

She claps him on the shoulder gently. "Let me know if you need anything."

"I will.... likely soon as it comes up. Oh, speaking of drinks, I'm pulling in sources of bottled water while we can and filling up excess wine bottles with H20 to hand out in these times. "

"That's pretty smart."

"It's an old trick. Store up on water to fight the authorities, have a back up generator, a wi fi hotspot. When you fight evil balor regimes you learn how to be ready if they find you and try to starve you out"

"Hopefully the storm won't be that bad."

"The Dreamers will imagine the worse, so for kithain? It might be worse"

"Plan for the worst, hope for the best."

"Words to survive by" he nods "I best get back to work. I... mm I was told you had guests from Rivervale. Where are they?"

"Lut and Tig; they're not brothers but they're ...um, brothers from another mother kind of thing."

"Ah... been through battle together that sort of thing?"

She nods. "They've seen their share of action."

"Ah, that I understand. I had a 'brother' like that once" He says

She tilts her head. "I didn't know that."

"Before your time. I hope he has a better life next time around."

"I'm sorry for your loss." she says sympathetically.

"Oh he's long gone. You would have liked him I think"

"I'm sure I would have."

"Later when this danger is passed, I'll tell you about him if you like.. but work awaits"

"Of course." she nods and considers what's next on her list.

Ariel races along looking worried

"Ariel? Are you ok?"

"No!" she says "Ahpuch said this hurricane will be stronger than a Twister. I SEEN a twister, a tornado... it killed some friends. How do we stop it? Can we do some skycraft? can we ward the city or make it goway?" the little girl has tears she's so scared

"Hey, hey, come here....." Jess drops down to her knees and opens her arms, welcoming the kid.

Tackle hug of desperation

"And what if the hurricane hits us and the light in Fenix goes out and Ellie dies and Salma can't find a book big enough to float on so she drowns.."

Jess holds her firmly; not squishing, but she's safe.

"You're right, it's scary." she affirms "Right now the storm tracker isn't coming here. It could change, but for now we will see rain and wind, but not a big hurricane on top of us."

"If the lights go out, we have candles. We have a Balefire. Ellie and Salma are safe, and I won't let anything happen to them, or you. Maybe Ahpuch was trying to scare you?"

A sniffle "Ahpuch can be a jerk sometimes"

"It's kind of his nature."

"I guess... you think we're really safe though?"
