She looks away from Jack as she asks. Annoyed with him it seems

"Sir Jack, can you see to it?"

A brow lift, but "Okay. Not like she can take you while you're alone with her."

And he heads off

"Not from inside a cell, I hope." Jess agrees.

OOC Did either Nunnehi admit to having a name? I can't remember.

OOC: she did not share it

"What should I call you?" she asks the water-bound Nunnehi.

"Froth fang some call me"

"Frothfrang." she nods "As you know, I'm Jessica."

"An enemy and an invader"

"Not the first by my intent, but by your declaration. As to being an invader...." she shrugs "Western Fae did come with mortals from elsewhere. I admit I came here seeking .... well, a name for myself. And found it. But I didn't come here with an armed force. I found one when I got here."

"What do you want, Jessica the Late Invader?"

"I'm glad you asked. I'd like our people to coexist with a minimum of disruption. In peace, if possible."

"And I would like to have my feet rubbed by handsome warriors while they feed me grapes.. neither is likely to happen" She says

"You cannot co -exist here. You don't BELONG here. None of the kithain do"

"Grapes I can arrange for." Jessica points out.

She thinks a moment. "Is there anything we could do in order to belong here?"

Frothfang seems startled by the question . She wasn't expecting that "I don't know. We obey our elders and our priests. THey say we will have war until we drive you out and reclaim our land. They say those making peace with you are traitors and must share you fate. Now the Mer try to enroach on OUR waters. I do not think there can ever be peace"

Jess scratches absently at the side of her neck. "You think there'es a chance your people can kill or remove all the Kithain? I mean.... it's bee a couple hundred years, right?"

"Some dreams are worth striving for" she says

"Oh, I agree, absolutely."

"Um. Are your elders and priests doing the fighting along side you?"

"Only when they must. They are too few, too precious"

"Mm."

There is a knock at the door "Sir Jack, with the food"

Jessica gets the door.

"Will you come ashore to eat or would you rather eat in there?" she asks politely.

She will rise up to where she can get the food without it being wet. The ward lets her go little further

Jack comes in and puts the tray out for her

Jess makes sure the food is in reach. "Will that do for you? Do you need something else, or more?"

"This will do. If I am poisoned, a thousand curses on you, may your spirit wander aimlessly never to be rejoined with ancestors"

Jack smirks "Well, all right then. Bon appetite"

"It's not poisoned. I'll sample it if you like."

"Do so" She shoves the tray towards Jessica, challengingly

Jess does.

Exquisite actually! Nothing fancy, but very well done. Most likely some secondary chef handled the prisoner food, but whoever they are, they're quite good

It's a fish medley. Someone took the marine aspects of their prisoner into account

"Mmm. This is really good... Sir Jack, do you think they have more in the kitchen?"

She passes the meal back to Frothfang. Carefully.

"I can inquire" he says, another slightly amused brow lift

Frothfang takes it ,and tries it, "This is.. not unpleasant"

"Glad you like it. I might have some more myself."

"I best inquire then" Sir Jack says "Try not to have too much fun while I'm gone" And he departs

"So... I have a bit of a quandry and I thought you might offer some thoughts. We can wait till you're done if you like."

She eats, takes a bit "Talk. I'll eat and listen"

"Sounds good."

"I brought you here because, well, you tried to kill me. And I have to take action to discourage that kind of thing. And I think in your heart of hearts you know that while dreams are certainly worth fighting for, the Kithain aren't going anywhere. We dream here too, now."

"I'd like to make this a place that can accept and support everyone who wishes to contribute."

"So my quadry is... what to do with you."
