The Baron wobbles weakly but tries a dictum "Your bow is tribute, leave it on the ground"

But the Raider sneers as he fights the dictum... successfully, and fires his bow

Jess scoops up a few fingerfulls of dusty earth and blows them at the raider as he fires, calling on the earth to rise up and entrap him.

The earth blows, small particles... and then, they turn into rock and stone, entrapping him...

but what of the arrow?

Good question. First, Jess wil disarm the captive and THEN seek to assess the status of the party.

As the arrow flies at her, it strikes her shoulder even as she entraps the archer...

OOC I -think- she might be wearing light armor since she left Fenix for SK without an escort; reasonable?

Thank goodness for troll thickness and a bit of armor... the arrow hits but skiffs off her, meaning it's poison is not delivered...

and this fight is over

"Countess," Sedgewick says "The baron is getting worse. "

"Can you get him back to Sunkissed Waves?" she asks urgently.

"Yes, your excellency" The balor does not question further, grabbing his liege and moving...

The baron protests "The prisoneeer..." But Sir Sedgewick ignores the Baron's protests

"Go quickly!"

Jess cleans up after the fight, tidying away any evidence and giving herself a chance to calm down.

The raider shoots hateful looks from his entrapment

things put to rights, Jessica comes over and checks again to ensure he is disarmed.

His bow is on the ground now, but he does have a knife at his ankle he could reach... if he could move. Still, something to worry about

She takes it, securing it and the bow on her person. Arrows?

Quiver full remains. She can slip them out a few at a time, but mind the tips!

She does! Those can be wrapped up and set carefully out of reach for now.

"Now....." she reappraoches the Nunnehi and gestures with her wrists together, indicating he should be prepared to be bound.

"Do you speak Spanish?" she asks in the same.

Then finally "I Speak a little of your invader's tongue" He says in Spanish

"Thank you for that. I am trying to learn the native languages but I am still challenged by them. Where is the rest of your hunting party?"

He spits on the ground

She sighs. "Will you stand and be bound or must I force you? I do not want to do this, but if my .... um, if my subordinant leader dies, you may be required to answer for it."

"I hope he dies. The poison is meant to be PAINFUL. Bind me if you wish, I shall try to escape though so I may kill more of you"

"Fair enough." she doesn't seem overly bothered by his bragging, and shortly has him hog-tied and out of site in the alley.

And they can head back to sunkissed hold, or... if she wishes to take a longer path, eventually back to Fenix

FIrst, she will use her tiny phone to call SK and ask if they can spare a patrol for escort.

Promptly! Three troll thanes arrive with a redcap, and a sidhe woman who appears to be a knight

She nods in greeting to them. "Bow.... knife.... arrows...." she hands them over "Let's get him back, but without harm."

The Redcap eyes the prisoner "Sure, your excellency. No harm"

"You heard the Countess, thane" The lady knight warns, then nods to her "As you command"

"Thank you." And she will go back with them.

They make their way back to the sunkissed waves hold.

"How is the Baron?" she asks as soon as she enters.

"Put our guest somewhere safe and with some comforts please, but let him be secure and all our people safe from harm."

The knight says "You will want to talk to ..."

At that, Vaeltilde, the childling heir, rushes up and then, remembering she is a sidhe, curtseys "Countess. The Baron is.... he's not doing well"
