Swimsuited she may be, but she pulls on a modest cover-up and sandals, and keeps a dry towel as she goes to the Balefire.

The balefire fusses , wshe can feel it's tension... but as she approaoches, the flame seems to loosen a bit..

"I'm fine." she reassures softly as she approaches. "It's ok." she sits and lets her fingers trail in the flames.

The flames calm, and trip about her finger tips, relief quite tangible. They press over her fingers and even run down her arms, a thorough check up

Seeing she is okay, it seems to cheer even more

"There we go." softly, fondly.

Demos comes up "Boss? Am I interrupting?"

"Mm?" she's a bit far away but comes back "Sorry, Demos... and, thank you. You are Phobos are ok?"

"Yeah, you softened em up for us"

"Good, glad to hear it."

"Fontaine says you're okay now?" Reversing the question

She nods, tilts her head quizzically "I feel fine, yes. Why?"

"Cause you got poisoned boss"

She blinks, thinks.... "Oh. Yeah, Guess I did."

"Yeah, you did. Duff is on patrol, not that he'd call it that- but he and Sir Jack are looking to see if there are other Thallian about"

"Are they together?"

"Yes, Jack offered, Duff allowed" Then almost as an aside, Demos adds "Jack figured you would want him not to go alone but he didnt' say that to Duff"

"Duff can handle himself. So can Sir Jack for that matter. Together, they should be unstoppable."

"Heh Yeah. Okay. ALso, the ladies want you to eat something and told me to tell you"

A tired sigh.

"Something fast?"

"You want me to bring it in here on a tray for you so it can be just you and the fire?" He offers

She checks with the 'Fire.

The fire seems to like that idea, a peppy roar

She laughs. "Yes, please. If you don't mind; send someone with the message if you like." she regards him... new scars?

A few, one along his cheek that will probably heal but it wasn't there yesterday

"Where's Phobos?"

"Oh he's getting a beer. You need him?"

"After his beer." She stands. "Apparently I have to go eat. You want to come, maybe see if Phobos wants some?"

"We're always hungry boss, you know that"

A grin. "I do. Get your brother and meet me there." And she stands and goes to the kitchen.

THe girls greet her , "Senorita freeflame, you nearly die and you take so long to eat? Sit sit"

"Thank you, ladies. Demos and Phobos are joining me."

They exchange looks, "We'll get more food" They say at the same time

Wisely they do. Eating with redcaps is ... un pleasant. Yet, trolls can bear anything stoicly, and ... well, they are of Fenix

Jess isn't very hungry but she sips her juice and waits.

Phobos has a new scar too. He shows it off proudly "See that? Belly wound. Lucky I'm not dead"

Jess glances, but ONLY glances. "Have a seat? And something to eat? Glad to see you. Thank you for coming when you heard."

"Hey, always" he shrugs "We love a good scrap."

"I know." She pours/pops/opens them drinks and pushes the chips and stuff to them.

They take the beers "Good stuff, boss"

"Glad you like it. Eat up."

THey dig in...

"You eat up too," Maria says

She does. Mind you, she can't outpace redcaps.

But as Siv says, Jessica can reallly put it away when she wants

Jess eats.

And hears gossip , for the boggans talk

So she listens.

It turns out that Lady Bevera has a suitor!
