She too gets a coffe, and says "We didn't knwo there were Thallian about, patrols haven't reported any but they weren't looking. However, the Nunehi have taken to hunting dangerous chimera long side us"

"That's not nothing." Jess agrees "And now that we know, we can look for Thallain too."

"Indeed. the cooperation is interesting. We've had acceess to some of their dross... interesting sytles. I.. oh wait, I have some on me" She reaches into a pouch and pulls out a clayfigurin tthat's no bigger than her thumb,, it depicts a grinning mask

"May I?" she asks to hold it.

"Please, ken it while you do." She offers it "Heck, its yours if you want"

She takes it, and examines it as she kens.

Not unheard of for dross to have a 'vibe' or emotional tag, but rarely is it so detailed... this flickers not just with joy, but joy at watching an evil person getting their come uppance as they are hoist by their own petard. It's almost as if whoever made this willed it to be an experience to use and hold.

"Wow." she looks up at Mitra.

"They have crafters who are so good at adapting dross that it can have...well, it's an art form"

"It's impressive." she agrees.

"Hold onto it if you like. I've got a few more. " She admits "I hope to learn how they do it"

"You sure you don't need it?" she offers it back.

"I don't." she shakes her head rather than take it back "Besides, you wanted records on the Nunehi, consider that a part of it."

She nods. "Ok." she tucks it away and drinks her coffee. "What else have you noticed about the mixed patrols?"

"Well, inevitably, there will be flirtation.. the nunehi elders don't like that" She admits "But the braves and wilders are learning to respect each other, and there are worse foundations for future romance."

"Agreed."

"Are the Nunnehi Elders coming around at all? Not just about romance but about any of it?"

"Slowly yes... they're annoyed with the braves mroe than they are us. The braves are 'supposed to know better'" A smile "Grumps of any time get so exasperated with us"

A chuckle in response, and she grows thoughtful. "What about... an effort, a... campaign? To reach out to those elders from -our- elders?"

"Well, Diego is our most eloquent graybeard. His focus is usually on sedition.. pardon, I mean democracy. Think he'd be willing to switch gears?"

She thinks about it.

"Would he need to?"

"They don't seem the same cause" she considers

"Well.... Ok, so I don't hae this all thought out yet but.... The elders are suspicious of our motives due to a long history of being marginalized when they were here first. I'm in the ballpark, right?"

"Sound like" She conceedes

"Ok. I like to think I have a reputation for being democratic, sharing our successes and owning our failures and listening to everyone?"

"Sometimes it offends me to the core of my aristocratic soul, so you may have a point" But she smiles there

She gets a quick grin back. "Ok... so ... maybe he uses that. I'd like to give the Nunnehi a stronger voice. Otem is great, and Ellie's learning a lot from the children, but I'd like to have the voices of experience, too."

A nod "Play up to their vanity by... rightfully mind you, pointing out a need for that experience and wisdom. He could do that I suppose"

She nods slowly "He'll have his own ideas of course. As he should. I don't know so much about appealing to vanity as much as pointing out how they can help guide our collective way."

"Sometimes they overlap " She says "But as you like it. "

"True." she agrees.

"Let's see, besides Diego, what other 'elders' of our own would you suggest reach out to their elders?"

"Mm. Fawn? Her language skills could help."

"Oh true, and they already respect her. Good pick!" She nods "That's two"

"Who else? Doesn't have to be from Fenix." she pauses "Probably not Tweak."

A snerk "Oh lord, set the movement backwards that would." Mitra ponders "Abeula ... might be able to leave the Pitt briefly. She's Chimera but they respect her. And she's .. of an age?"

"Do you think she would do it? I would guess that her appearance wouldn't hurt the effort, after all."

"If I asked, she'd at least consider it" A nod

"Please do. That's a -good- solid three. Think we need another?"

"Actually an odd number might be best in case they otherwise stale mate on their approach, so 3 should be fine"

"Hm. Unless." she frowns "I'll find out from Otem is there's any point to an.... auspicious number. Like, if three means Death, or means Deceit.... we should add one, you know?"

"A fair point though if it is bad luck or death, I hadn't heard" She admits

"Right, well, I'll ask."

A sip of her coffee, "Look at us, making progress. And to think I came here to fuss over you. I take it others beat me to that "

A chuckle. "Almost. I woke up with floating with Fontaine, Demos checked on me, the ladies made me eat. Pretty standard stuff."

"A day in the life" a slight chuckle "Well, I won't dog pile on any more than I already have. "

"I'm choosing to see it as an investment in the County." she says with some humor.

"Thallian removal is a kind of beautifaction project" she nods
