Jess goes outside the Freehold, to the atrium, to pace out some of her lingering unease and snarliness before returning and, yes, going to the Balefire.

She finds MItra waiting for her. Looks like someone got her hot coco whether she liked it or not

"I have hot coco. In summer" Mitra observes

She nods, and takes a seat at the 'Fire. "Report."

"They're texting, and theyr'e NOT Good at it. I believe with what I've seen, indigenous tongue or not, we can have Skyhook hack them. I have the stuff they wrote ready for translation. Which should be possible thanks to Fawn and others. I believe you are their prefered target. I can tell you in addition to reading what they wrote, they have two more Chupacabras. I think your patrols will take care of that. "

"Great, one of them is drinking tonight on my name." she growls.

"They tried to set you with a rage inducing drug into hurting someone . They failed. They hoped we'd expect just one Chupacabra. They failed. She takes a deep breath. "Thank you." only a faint growl in the background of her voice now.

She still needs time by the fire. But it did help a little

She texts the news to Skyhook..

"Good for them. And you still need to rest at the Balefire."

"Can I sulk and grouse about it while I comply?"

"I wouldn't recommend it."

"Fine" A sigh then "Are you ok yourself?"

"I will be."

"All right" A sigh "Hell of a day"

"Yeah." she rubs the base of her horns.

"Woudl you like something stronger than hot coco?"

"No, thank you."

"Hm. Did Otem come back yet?"

"Not yet" She says

"Damn. Ok. And too soon to expect a response from Skyhook. I'm going to go check on the new patrols."

"You should take an escort, your excellency" She says

"To go see Demos?"

"Oh I thought you were leaving the hold. Wait, isn't Demos and Phobos already out there on patrol hutning Chupacabra?"

"That's what I'm going to go find out."

A bow of her head. She looks tired

"-Rest-." with ultimate firmness, and Jessica goes to see where everyone is.
