"Hello. How'd it go at the Pitt?"

"We moved our grand dame to here for better and faster healing. Mitra sends her fond regards and asks if you need her here?"

"Thank you for that, Diego, I appreciate you taking care of it. I'd like to meet your granddame when she's well. And no, Mitra's got her hands full; I'll stumble along."

"Do we have resources we could purpose for a little Fae 'thank you' to some mortals? A couple, an older woman, and a young man."

"Fair fortunes, minor spells are tradiontal. Sometimes a few days of enchantment... how mystical do you want the help to be? or are we talking cash?"

"Fair fortunes might not go amiss." she considers "Something tangible would be welcome too, I think. Depends on what we can afford I guess."

"Well if you really want to help them out financially we might have trouble. Perhaps Nancy could assist. She is still affluent"

"No... do we have the Glamour to spare for cantrips?"

"That we do, dross is good this month"

"Ok, let's do that. Can you let Tito Woden know what the plan is, and ask him to get with me for more information?"

"I will" He nods "Jessica... I know you've probably had food and drink, you've visited mortals, but it occurs to me you've been running around a lot. Don't forget to take a few breaks or even rest ?"

"I rest." she blinks "I slept until 7."

"Seven in the morning?" He confirms

"Yes."

"I see.. and you went to bed the night berfore around.. what, midnight? one?"

"Because frankly, sleeping till seven is not so great if you work until midnight" An observation

"No, it was before that. I think."

"Mmmph" A brow "Very well. I shall withdraw my pestering about rest then. Anything else you need me to do besides arrange some help for those mortals and contact Tito?"

"I think that's it. We're going to need to support more patrols, though." a thought strikes her "Does the phrase 'Red Spear Rising' mean anything to you?"

"Sounds vaguely pornographic " He shrugs "But Red is often associated with communism and socialist movements too. Ares, the Greek God of War, used a spear.. unpleasant fellow... and war is assocated wit hthat weapon in other cultures. ALso reminds me a bit of the Crimson Jihad Terrorist cell from the movie true lies"

"Hm. Ok. Thank you. Let me know when your granddame feels up to meeting." And she moves on to talk patrols with Phobos and Demos.

Phobos and Demos are talking "SO we hunt down the others if there are any... " "I'm fine with that"

"Are we talking about Chupacabra?"

"Yeah boss, we figure there might be more out there" Demos says "And we like having a carte blanche to kill"

"What he said" Phobos agrees "This is what Redcaps are made for"

"Two more, perhaps others. Driven here against their wills from the outskirts of town by a small group of Nunnehi that aren't our locals." She gives them the physical descriptions she was given. "These attacks are intended as distractions; let's stay on the ball and keep our eyes where they need to be."

"The group may be calling itself 'Red Spear Rising.'"

"Fucking redspear" Phobos spits

Demos snorts

"Oh you wouldn't know... sometimes, blonde hair aside, it's hard to remember you're a gringa" Demos says "An Anglo who came in"

"Not that hard' Phobos snorts "But yeah... you don't know. Red Spear was this bad ass Nunnehi mainland warrior. HE tangled with Duke Topaz himself. Kill a LOT of Kithain"

"This was years ago, when we were still childlings" Demos says as they sit down "Trolls tried to rfightt Redspear fair. But then, Red spear made a mistake"

"Huge" Phobos agrees "He fucked with a Corby biker gang"

"Killed a few. Now the Corby gang considered itself netrual before then. THey didn't care about your Brotherhood of Thor or nobles. They didn't give a shit about Nunehi. But Red Spear ambushed them to steal some resources for a bigger plan. Killed three out of 13 redcaps, wounded others from an ambush"

"And the surviving Corby swore an Oath of enmity" Phobos adds on "They hunted him down by killing his kinfolk, mortal relations, folks who traded with him. Trolls play fair. Redcaps do not. The corby hunted him, hounded him, set fire to a fucking village and drove him out. Then.. they caught him... and fihnished him off" He does not seem repentent

"But some Nunnehi tried to make up some bullshit story how he was done dirty and his spirit is reborn ... as if that asshole didn't start it. So he's got like this cult , even after he was removed boddily" Demos licks his lips "From this world"

"That's... kind of huge. Ok, so we need to plus up our patrols but I need you to share this with Otem and Constance. But she's out right now and I think Otem went to speak with his people. Hm."

"Oh yeah, Constance and her beau have been trying to have sex for three days now" Demos says

"Don't word it like that, it makes trolls upset" PHobos reminds

"Whatever" Demos says

Sure enough, Jessica is lavender. "Can one of you, or both, go to the library and see if Flex and Specs can write down what you told me, and anything else you remember about it?"

"What we can't write ? " Phobos says

"She thinks redcaps are dim" Demos nods

"It's not that." she says calmly "I'm looking for consistancy and continuity in the notes, but if you'd rather write it down yourselves, knock yourselves out."

"We're yanking your leg, boss" Phobos says with a fierce grin "We'll make sure you get more than one copy"

"Yeah" Demos rises
