Jessica can't believe she fell asleep at the fire!

Not for long mind you... she doesn't think

Oh, she can believe it. The 'Fire is sneaky that way.

The fire attempts to project a sense of innocence, but they are bound and she's not fooled

"My liege. " It's Mitra "Bad timing on my part?"

She seems armed, armored, and ready, but in a good mood

"Dame Mitra." she smiles and stands, then shoots the 'Fire a reproving glance.

Back to Mitra. "How are you? No, no, your timing is fine."

"I'm well, the fighters of the Pitt seem to enjoy the challenge of patrols. Our warriors are rough, a bit uncouth, but among the best" She says with pride

"Chances are good we'll need them sooner rather than later. Come and sit, have a drink...." and as they put action to her words, Jessica fills her friend in on developments.

She listeens "Yes, backward glance might do me very well. Do you still have this needle?"

"Otem has it. Um. We should check for boobie traps, you think?"

"Before you cast the spell?"

"Yes, given that situation the last time" A sigh "Bit mortifying"

"Agreed." likewise.

"THough you seem to be in good health. I'd like ot think the time gave us both a different sort of perspective, and even break for a bit. Of course, no time for rest now with this Red Spear RIsing you mentioning going all out"

"No." she agrees quietly.

"So it's good you got that nap. This could be an all nighter" She says "Any other objectives besides locating?"

"It wasn't a nap." she corrects. "We need as much information as we can get. I want to know what they're going to do next, if we can figure it out from what they've done."

"Deduction, induction, whatever it takes"

"Exactly."

She finishes her tea "Ready when you are"

Jess stands and picks up her maul, ever at hand. "Let's go." and she leads the way back to the area she explored with Senora Martha.

They move that way and find the bridge she was told of. Mitra looks about "i'll try it here then" She kens about "And look for traps "

"Where do you want me?"

"Well, you're the troll, bridge's are your people's area of exertise. Foot of it, under, or dead center?"

Jessica takes a moment before answering as she stares up at the roofs nearby. "Come on." and she leaves the bridge, heading to the building across from it and looking for a way.... up.

"Okay. This is not the bridge I was going to check" She observes but follows

Jess figures it out; climb up the outside fire escape, go in and climb the stairs to the roof, hell... find an unobserved alley and Hopscotch.... she and Mitra will get to the roof from which she was fired on.

And so they do!

Once on the roof, Jessica doesn't move from that spot but explains to Mitra why she led them here. "... and it occured to me the shooter might have left evidence here. Almost certanly a stronger look back here than where he never stood but only left a dart behind, right?"

"Good thinking" She nods and looks about, kenning carefully

Jess stays out of the way.

Mitra whispers "You can never go home again, you can never go home again..."

and then there's a rush of glamour and she breathes in...

"Here... a tattoo of a red spear. Three barbs ready. He fires one.. a miss. The giant saves the daughter of eve. He knows he is exposed. It's time to run. He.. he darts away? " Startled "This way, beforre I lose the image" She goes over the side hastily

Jess follows, not missing the pun.

Mitra is moving along, scrambling then stopping "Still have it. He's.. texting? When do they text?"

Jessica is providing some cover, keeping her senses open to threat while also trying to remember all Mitra says.

Mitra takes out her own cellphone, and types as she says words outloud in some native tongue

Jessica has been studying some local dialects thanks to Fawn, but she can't make them all out.

Then the sidhe marks down a phone number and grins triumphantly

Jess has her friend's back, scanning. She is careful not to interupt the spell caster.
