And if possible, find something to wear.

It takes time... to get him there... to gather the prisoners... and , to collect August's things, which Siv does by turning into an octopus and retrieving objects. But with help...within a half hour Earl is laying before the balefire. Within an hour, prisoners are in cells. And within an hour and a half.. well, August has his sword and armor back

Zara sticks to Earl's side like a burr.

Countess Jessica (who hardly cringes at the title!) makes sure that everyone has Hospitality; food, drink, clean clothes and bathing, beds.....

kittens?

Baron Truthbranch explains he has one at home, thank you.

Siv kneels before her sister, perhaps surprising the hell out of her, "My apologies to you, Countess, for the trouble and for the surprise of it. I was deep undercover and did not have a chance to inform you without risking revealing myself and upsetting the rescue of dozens of mortals."

"Siv, stop it. Please. It's not a problem."

Siv gets up slow and forces a smile onto her face, but even with effort it's a weak one. "As you say, Freeholder. But thank you for everything. And, if I might, special thanks to your heir who , it seems, saved Earl's life indirectly"

"We'll get into that later, Siv." Jess crosses to her sister and puts an arm around her. "You, all of you, have been through hell. You need to rest and recoup."

For a moment Siv , who is THE Hugger in the family, pulls back as if physical contact is painful.. then she relaxes "Aye... you're right"

"You're not ok." Jessica says authoritatively. "Springs." An order.

"I.. mostly need to be alone, sis, please, I'm not wounded physically"

Jessica doesn't question it. "You know where your room is?"

"Thanks.. " a weak smile again, this one less forced "I'll I'll be fine"

Jessica nods. "I know you will."

And Siv can retreat if she wishes.

And Siv leaves them..retreating.

Caspian however, seems ready to tell the story to any who will listen

"Caspian," Jessica says "I'd like to hear it, if everyone is taken care of?" She checks.

Jonas is healing though he has a bit of Siv's mile long stare at times

Zara, of course, is by Earl. Who is to SLEEP. And not move!

Jessica will encourage any who can, to use the springs.

Earl is not merely obedient, the flesh is too weak even if he wanted to defy

August will make the rounds, check on everyone, ensure they're cared for, bring tea to Zara, make his manners to the Countess and thank her for the support and hospitality, and eventually sneak off to make a phone call.....

Woe betide any who would threaten that which the white witch has claimed, not tonight.

Magnus makes some calls. "Yes, Count. It went as you said it would. Your soothsay was successful.""

"Thank you, August. For everything."

"Well, yes, letting her have her own head really was the only way. I have to say I was surprised how well she coordinated"

"Zara, no thanks. I am sorry I was not able to stop it. I feel I have failed him, and you."

Magnus nods "No, I'm pretty sure offering her payment as an employee would NOT be recieved well. Now a bounty maybe?"

"I... no, you did him chimerical damage. The fall, the... women... nay, that he wrought for himself."

"Yes. Well, no, it does seem she really doesn't like you, your excellency" A pause "No, I don't understand why not either. Most folks I know think you're a delight"

Salma sneaks along the hallways - Well, no. Sluagh SNEAK. Little pooka girls are just inobtrusive and ignored. And peeks in the healing spa, and conference rooms, and anywhere without a locked door, to get glimpses of the intriguing visitors.

"Well, yes, it stings a bit" Magnus says "But we carry on." A pause "What kind of reward??What kind of reward for a librarian biblophile could you... perhaps find?" A pause "you have an idea? A book? EXCELLENT idea, indeed"

"I mean, I failed Earl. If Tantalus had not fallen, I would have killed him."

"August, if you had not been here, we would have failed."

"There was a Balor, and Tantalus, and the gunmen, and the redcap... not one of us can do all."

Magnus notices the little Salma girl and smiles. he notices, but treats her like..well, a childling

She allows herself a moment to sigh over the handsomeness of that sidhe, but continues on. SHe heard there was a troll earlier who came for healing, and he used big words but also spoke spanish. And such is what she seeks.

They keep running off to have adventures JUST when she's in a good part of the book...

Ramona trots along at Salma's heels. Adventure!

And she finds him, in the water, leg soaking, Jonas looks troubled, but sedate.

A peek around the corner of the door. He probably needs to rest, but there's no harm in LOOKING...

August doesn't argue with Zara, but neither is he convinced. "Do you have everything you need?"
