Ellie waves!

Jessica claps softly.

He puts his flute away, and makes intricate gestures with his hands.

If one speaks American Sign Language, they might understand it

Ellie does not.

Nope.

"Um. Ellie, can you get him some paper and something to write with?"

Ellie nods, and runs off to do so.

He looks apologetic

But when Ellie returns with paper and pen in hand, he breaks into the tune of Danke Schoen!

Well, paper and a purple crayon...

He takes it, and writes 'Thank you. My name is Dean. I hope to be your troubadour. It's an honor. I can't speak, or sing, but my flute talents are second to none.. at least I sure HOPE so'

Jessica reads, passes it to Ellie.

"Pleasure to have you here, Dean. I'm Jessica King and this is Elleanor."

She squints, and mouths the words as she works through it.

"Hello, Dean!"

Dean plays a tune.. Hello, Stevie wonder!

Or is it Lionel Ritchie?

A little laugh. "You're very good!"

Thaaaank you, the flute seems to say as he plays two long notes

Then he writes on the paper 'I understand Spanish, English, and Greek.'

'if that helps here in Mexico? I don't know what your hold prefers'

"Spanish is important! I'm learning that. Is it Sign Language, with your hands?"

"We're mostly bilingual here. Spanish and English."

He nods at Ellie and makes an odd motion with one hand that looks a lot like his fingers are nodding

Then nods to Jessica

"I can say turtle!" She cups one hand over the other, like a shell.

A nod to Dean, and a small smile to Ellie.

"And bunny... and cat..."

She demonstrates.

He applauds and makes different quick sounds for each...a fast few notes for bunny with a bit of bounce to it

Giggles!

How can a flute puurrr?

"Do you like churros?"

The yes hand gesture

"Oh, then you must try Rosalita's!"

And soon Dean is sat down to have some Churros. Rosalita admits while the fellow eats privately "Okay.. he's a handsome one..."

Jessica, meanwhile awaits meeting the other two.

And soon she finds someone strumming a lute, a sidhe in green...

"Hello!" Ellie offers.

A courteous nod. "Welcome to Renaissance."

She rises promptly "Your excellencies. I am Bevera ap Gwydion, knight and troubadour. I would present a letter of reccomendation but my former liege and I had a falling out"

"I'm Jessica King, and this is Eleanor Violette."

"I have heard of you both," she says "Indeed, you have caused quite a stir in matters certain circles, Countess Jessica."

"I... imagine so."

"If I may, I can be useful there. I know some political events and can warn you"

Eyebrow. "Political events that I should be warned about?"

"Intrigues rather" She admits "As a Gwydion I can usually pick up on lies"

"Who was your former liege?"
