"I think I'd like this Salma girl. " A nod "I can try for a few of those too. Do you know what kind of books she likes?" Gerd notices the little countess thinks of her friends quite quickly

"Salma's a pooka. Um. She reads chapter books."

"mmm I'll see what I can get her" A nod

"She likes animals... OH!"

"Oh, you have to meet the kittens!" And Gerd is being pulled to the library.

"THe kittens? You have librarian kittens?"

And yes she's dragged long

"Four! And Mamacita, of course. Holger helped find them, and Jessica and I fought a Dark Kin and we rescued her..."

"Geez, and I thought we went to extremes for OUR Critters. Dark kin? Jessica does not tell her folks half of what goes on here," She looks "Well I see mama but where are.. oh my god they're just so tinnnny"

"You have to always fight the Dark Ones. I mean, we didn't go there planning for a fight, but it was there..."

"That's how it works" She sighs "I'm glad no one was too hurt." She eyes the kittens "They must be less than a week old."

Mamacita Gata sits up and looks at this new comer, observing . Do not touch the kittens. They're not ready. Tail swish.

"Don't worry, Mrs Cat," Gerd assures "I know better. "

"She's a very good mama."

"She seems most reasonable" Gerd says "Perhaps her last owner was a good witch"

"Her last owner died. But she might have been a good witch. Holger isn't very good at english, and I'm not very good at spanish..."

"Oh, sorry. My own Spanish is weak. I know French"

"Me too!"

"You're Beaumayn aren't you?" She looks around "Sorry, the purple... my Uncle is Beaumayn"

Looking for Jessica

Jessica is meeting with Diego, Maria, and Ash about the Tour.

"I feel we need to go to Tidemarch first."

Gerd stops at the door to the meeting when she hears iti s going on "Crud." She whispers to Ellie "This may not be the best time?"

"Oh yeah, they look busy..."

"Then... mmm... Skyhook, then the Pitt?"

Diego says "of course, Tidemarch will probably play first visit up as some sign of being first among equals... but I agree he's the one you want to watch closest"
