"The Scribe ordered me," And the Thane is dating the scribe so yes, she gets to order him "to inform you that .. while it is still too soon to touch. The eyes of the kittens have opened. They can, if you wish, 'see you' now"

Ariel pops up and, rather rudely forgetting others can't run as fast, charges off to see..well be seen.

"Eee!"

"Oh, Thank you, Thane Coy!" She grabs Salma's hand, to take off after the satyr.

"oh you got to see " ariel says a head of them

And as the girls all gather , they see eight bright and shining eyes blinking

One can imagine that one of them is reaching out with mighty claws to warn that this is a fierce panther... in training.

Constance smiles "Mamacita Marion is overhere with me if you're curious" She says from her desk.

"Oh, looks like Mamacita needed a baby break. Marion?"

"Oh, she just looked like a Marion to me" Constance says pushing her glasses up, "not that I much concern myself. I have work to do "

Ariel blinks "Like in the Music Man?"

"You've seen that?" Constance says

Ariel looks at her "The DeBukes LOVE that movie. It's in Iowaaaay"

"Oh, yes, of course" And for some reason the scribe blushes

"What's that movie about?"

Ariel says "Well, I don't know if the guy is a pooka or an Eshu.. but he's like a flim flam man.. or that's how it was said to me... and while he shouldn't be the good guy he kind of is? He's very likable.. but oh, his flim flammery will not avail him no... for he tries it on a librarian who is quite smart... but there's so much music and yes, the romance" She pauses "And there's this big debate on the farm if Shaboopie was needed or not. But it's hard not like to like Buddy Hackeet or whatever his name is"

"Okaayyyyy..."

"It's like a religious thing in the farm... " she shrugs

Then goes back to looking at the kittens"oh toobad they're still too young to touch"

Constance looks up "Why the sigh dear?"

"Waiting is hard."

"Well, it is, here, let me look up that book on cat development" She glances through

"Hmm I think starting their second week we can begin to pet them" Constance says "Well, you girls, but only for a few minutes, and only if it doesn't stress out Marion"

"Really? Oh, that'll be WONDERFUL."

"VERY gently" She reads "it helps them socialize and get used to the scent of non cats. We have to be careful though" A brow "Can you girls be careful?"

"We will, ' Ariel says and crosses her heart

"So careful!"

"Well, not like it matters much to me" Constance says "The cats aren't my concern. I'm not even a cat person."

Marion leans against her and gets an unthinking stroke from the scribe's free hand

Ariel whispers to Ellie "For someone who doesn't like cats, she sure seems to like mamacita. she even named her"

"Don't tell her!"

A giggle

"Sometimes, people are contrary. Besides, mamacita looks happy."

"Yes, she does" Ariel says in a whisper "I think she misses her old person, but she likes Chief Jessica and Miss Constance"

Salma sighs happily and sets her book aside, having finished the chapter. "They are all happy, because they have bellies full of milk."

"They do.. but their eyes are so bright. " Ariel smiles "Oh I can't wait until they're cliimbing and jumping..kittens are fun to watch"
