Then again, never underestimate the abilities of a boggan...

Yup. in addition to lovely little dresses, there are leggings and jeans, there are pull overs aplenty.. while it's clear the boggans prefer she dress up so pretty, they also understand some times kids need to play or even get dirty!

And so, there she is!

Ariel tends to prefer ruff and tumble clothes herself, though she has taken to suntan lotion so she wont' burn on the beach.

Waiting for things to start sees the girls hard at work with crayons... making up fanciful coats-of-arms.

Crayons are well stocked, though it took a bit, EXTRA purple was ordered when it was realized that was going faster.

"Oh, you need this one for the mermaid's hair..."

"Thanks" Ariel says taking it Then she says "I mean, gracias" Her spanish is still rough, but both girls are learning more words , short sentences are possible on and off. And, of course, they have learned the words for Cat, Dog, Horse, Princess, tower and crown

And possibly a few other animals

Holger stands guard in his thrainee thane shirt.

Jessica waits with the girls, being outfitted with paper and crayons as well. She colors dutifully.

"Are you going to put a phoenix on your arms?"

"My arms? I, um..... I don't know."

"Oh..Heraldry.. some of it is pretty" Ariel says "But I dont' know much"

"It's a whole science."

"It is!"

"Let's see... Falcons will rage for pride, so don't act snide. Eiluned flag is moon cresent dusted, remember always they can't be trusted. Hammer and arm is Dougal charm they'll steal your craft secrets and see no harm, Silver Lions are full of lust, they'll charm your pants leaving only taste of dust.." She frowns at that one , then goes on "Blue and Silver Oak is broken , ripped and torn. Never forget, they betrayed Oaths they've sworn"

"Ariel.......?" mildly.

Wide eyes.

"It was something we were taught on the farm." She says

"It doesn't sound very nice."

"Well, my brother CHarles was Fiona knight in another life so I don't like it all either, but it's good warning about noble houses. We didn't have a chant for Beaumayn" She says

"My mother is Gwydion and my father is Liam." casually.

"Well, taht's not YOUR fault either" she says

Ariel notices the looks "It's how we learn about house heraldry"

"Mmm."

"The Houses do a lot of good, though."

Ariel says "Then how come lik eevery few years some House guy has to come up and try to take our farm?" Ariel says "We dont' do nothing to them, we just live on our own"

"Commoners try to take holds, too. Some people are jerks. Everybody wants a Fire."

"That's why you need a powerful entourage, so no one can steal from you." Peering up from over the edge of her book.

Jessica listens to the discussion as they wait for the rest.

"Well, it was nobles that betrayed the Beltaine trust.. the Night of iron knives... "

"That was a bad crime. That's why it's so good David came."

"Beaumayn shows the brightest star, seeing visions from afar." She offers to Ellie with a smile and a nod over to Ariel. "That is nicer than the other rhymes, maybe you can take it to your teachers at this farm."

Jessica nods. "Good idea, Salma."

A buck-toothed grin over at the troll. "Gracias, Condesa."

Ariel smiles "I shoud ask you to make a nicer one for Fiona too.. so my brother wont' be sad" She says to Salma

"Fiona are nice. They are very dashing and brave and protect commoners..."

"Umm.. Ummm... " She taps her chin thoughtfully. "Rojo Lions feel no fear, to common folk they are held dear."

Jessica nods, coloring a bit.

"Oh, good one!"

"huh. I like it" She says

"Hello.. Buenos Dios, Stewart Diego!"

"Buenos Dios, Ellie. Your Spanish has improved " He nods "Ariel, Salma, how are you?" A nod "And you too, Jessica."
